Take this fwiw, but I've been saying Worley all along. I just asked a former player who stays in contact with people around the program. His opinion is that Ferguson will win the job. Says that he can be a bit wild, but really has the arm that Worley needs. Says that Worley is smart, but lacks some arm strength, and lacks confidence. That is his opinion. We shall see.

I think whomever wins the QB job will be better basically because his skill players will be better. Helm was number one tight end according to Rivals. North, Malone, and Pearson make QB with any ability very good. Running back position is better because of Hurd. These guys are young but their talent is huge we saw how well North played without much help. Now if he gets the best CB on him we can pick on the other guy. I think the offense is gonna be vastly improved.

well the QBs will have some new weapons,but they haven't played in the SEC yet and we all know that takes some time and they will have a new system to learn

I can't wait till Spring Practice and the Orange and White game comes,that ought to really muddle up the QB position

at a guess,i would think it is Worleys to lose and who knows what Fergueson will do,Dobbs does have a chance with the experience that he picked up and Peterman isn't out of it,surely they want go off one bad half of football?

Dobbs had a better completion % than Worley against much better teams . Dobbs has a pretty good game vs Kentucky. If he would have had the cupcake game at the beginning of the season his stats would be allot better.
It's hard to compare stats. Worley had Oregon, SC, Georgia (no defense) and a half against Bama.
Dobbs had Bama Half, Mizzu and Auburn. Dobbs had more interceptions but a higher completion percentage and 1000% better runner. Worley was in his third year and still consistently couldn't make throws to wide open recievers. Allot big completions were circus catches by North on under throw balls. If Worley is our best option at QB running the spread with the new weapons coming in, I hope we are recruiting a big time QB for next year. If the young guys can't beat out the QB with the worst stats in the SEC last year we will be no better the next couple of years.

If Ferguson or Dobbs whoever is behind Worley, If they can't win the job before season then 2014 might be another rough year.

All of our QB's at the moment are not World beaters, they are the likes of game managers at best. Hopefully next years recruiting class we get a QB that can put the team on his Back and win some games.... until then it will be upon running the football with Lane and Hurd, with some surprise streak route throws to Malone and North hoping we get a TD here and there.

I lied. With enough bourbon I think I can go to sleep. But I will awake still yearning for a definitive answer.
