Who is the Strength Coach?

I thought the same about them compared to Oregon. There was a graphic where almost all their defense is is 4th and 5th year seniors. Grown ass men. Reminded me of the age difference when we played the Morman Mafia.
.
That's a good point. The difference between a 17 year old and 23-24 year old is typically huge. With so many kids leaving early it is almost impossible to build a long term program. I think that is one reason that teams like BYU and Vandy typically have half way decent teams. Their players are motivated to stay for reasons other than to just make more money.

The kids have to be willing to put in the work, put that extra plate on, push those extra reps, etc.

S&C is pretty much the same everywhere, sure there may be a couple of coaches that are on that test and do all the screaming and posturing, but it's about the work ethic of the player. Other schools just have better players. It's not always the coach.

I've seen posters call for the jobs of Heupel. Pope. Elarbee. Banks. And now the S&C coach because OL look fat? What do you think OSU OL look like?

It's always been about the Jimmy's & Joes and always will be. It's about individual matchups and winning those. OSU has probably 12 NFL starters on the field. UT has probably 2.

Coaching/chemistry/scheme/etc. can overcome talent differences. But most of the time the team with the most talent will win.

Case in point. Everyone is praising Chip Kelly right now. He went 35-34 at UCLA. Jimmy's and Joes would be the answer for his record.

Enjoy the 10 win season. Championships or deep runs aren't happening until UT is recruiting at an elite level.
This would be a decent argument if we were in the top 5 recruiting/not being outbid in the portal for players.
