Who is UT recruiting to replace Foster at RB when he graduates?

I like to see a tandem at RB like UT has had in the past. Cobb/Webb, Lewis/Henry, Henry/Stephens, Houston/Riggs, Riggs/Foster, etc.

Seems like UT has had success that way. Creer looks good, not that big on Hardesty, he seems injury prone. Would just like to see UT land another top back like they did when they picked up Coker. Someone they could redshirt and team up with Creer when Hardesty graduates.

I liked it when we had Hayden, Stewart and Garner.

I was trying to think of Haydn name the other day and couldnt remember it. I think Garner has the highest yds/carry average of any back at UT.

The staff did a nice job of spreading the ball around back then. Of course it seemed like we ran the ball a lot more then too.

He does, its 6.7 ypc. I posted those stats in a different thread about a week ago, thats how I know.

It's not really a big deal, I'm just pointing out that Foster was never a back-up to Riggs. Riggs was the feature back, with Hardesty getting a couple carries after him. They said Foster wasn't ready because he didn't know the blocking schemes for a RB, they used him out of necessity and look where he's at now.

I want to see Poole become "THE MAN"... because I like his story and attitude and would love to see another 3* make fools out of the recruiting service "experts".

If Hardesty can't stay healthy this year, he will get his chance.

I posted them about a year ago, you know before you were on this board.......

um ok, I was trying to help you out and I just pointed that out because I didn't want you to think I was some nerd who memorized every stat. I really don't see why you're being a D-bag. Have you always been one or did you think I was challenging your fanhood or something?

This is between the idiot(i mean guru) oklavol and us. We can't handle more than one supposed guru. Guru. Guru. I love that word.

This isn't over the word guru. it's over the fact that one of the supposed experts starts a ignorant thread. And now one of his guru buddies is taking up for him.

It doesn't have anything to do with that. I have a problem with someone being called an idiot for asking a question regarding recruiting on a forum designed for that specific purpose.

Well it's laughable that he has a title that is unwarranted. Dude posted something ignorant. I'm pretty sure you told someone they are ignorant when they post something along those lines. This is no different.

He asked what running backs we are recruiting. I didn't see anyone call Rasputin an idiot for not knowing Hardesty was a junior. I'd also wait until you post something of value before you decide to call other posts ignorant.

In the meantime, keep posting this kind of garbage:

what he said

Factor in the following:

1. Hardesty is frequently injured
2 Creer and Poole are still unproven
3. UT likes to use more than one back to keep fresh legs

It's not out of the realm of possibility that the next RB UT signs will see significant playing time next season.

The comment that was terrible was the fact that he said we didn't have any 5 star running back on the team to replace foster. I didn't realize it was necassary to have a 5star running back to have a successful running game. Actually we have exactly zero 5star running backs and are going to have a strong running game for the next couple of years.

ok

Well first of all, having a strong running game for the next couple of years really doesn't relate to oklavol's question very well. Next year Arian will still be here, so that's not being discussed. The year afterward, the heir apparent is Montario Hardesty, whom okla mentioned is frequently injured. The next two guys are still unproven. I'd personally like to see another good back recruited just in case Creer gets hurt returning kicks (see Andre Caldwell) or he doesn't learn how to hold onto the ball. Poole has yet to play a down of college football so it's a bit premature to say he's ready to carry the load. The bottom line is that life after Foster is still somewhat uncertain and UT would do well to have a loaded stable ready to try out for his spot.

The real thing that bothered me is that he said we don't have any 5 star running back on our roster or one coming in. That's a stupid comment. They are a dime a dozen and aren't really necassary at all to have a successful running game. There were only four total 5star RBs the past two years. I just thought it was a ignorant post coming from a so called expert.

I don't mind the question, although he could have found the answer by searching the forum. My problem was his d-bag comment to me when I was just trying to help him out.
