Alan jones, the guy who owns check into cash, is a pretty big booster. His last name is on a building on campus and he was pretty tight with fulmer. Dude pretty much owns most of the land in Cleveland tn (jones property management). A few years ago i worked at his huge $100 million mansion he had built in Cleveland. Rumor then between all the superintendents on the job was that somewhere on his big expansive property he had built a pretty decent scrimmage field and a few times every summer it players would come down and do 7v7 drills. I never quite believed that but it honestly wouldnt surprise me.

I went out with his daughter...........once

since that time. He renegged on a pledge to UT and they threatened to take his name off the building - it got paid somehow. His wife paid her pledge and her name is on a building. According to Doug Matthews this morning on his show - Haslam is the only booster that Hart would consult.

GO VOLS!!

You've got Jones mixed up with Toby Mckenzie also from Cleveland, his wife is the Lawson name on the building, He is the one with $$$ problems and did'nt come thru with his pledge.

Wrong person. Brenda Lawson was married to McKenzie. His name was removed. Big bucks in high interest loans to poor people. Thats where jones made his money. Shameful business.

Rumor in the Cleveland area is that Alan and Thunder are pushing for Fulmer to be rehired, both were big Fulmer backers

Btw alan jones is a terrible person. I remember working at his mansion he had a huge "bell" tower built on one side. I think it was meant to be some sort of swiveling observatory. Anyways, they built the very top of the tower on the ground and hoisted it up with a crane. They had just got the piece in place when the crane operator died of a heart attack. When they told alan all he said was to get another operator so they could get the crane down and finish. He never even left the air conditioned job trailer.

When alan jones steps out on his giant back porch built from hand hewn mountain stone and accented with precast stone banisters he can go bare foot because underneath the expensive stone tile small tubes carry warm water and heat the floor. Alan jones can sip his coffee on crisp winter mornings and keep his bare feet warm. I laugh bc i stood on that porch and looked out at the view he sees every morning and i know that though his feet must be warm he still has to stand on that porch at his $100 million mansion and smell bowater just like everyone else in Cleveland.

Allen Jones does indeed have a field on his property. UTC played their spring game there a few years back. Don't know anything about his marital status, but do know that one of the other big boosters from Cleveland divorced his wife a few years ago and now he is having some money issues. She however seems to be doing well.

I know Haslam, but after that I don't have much knowledge of who these boosters are.

Anyone else know any of them? I really hate just hearing the general term booster and not having a name or face to go with it. I don't quite care for the people that donate the 5k to get season tickets, I'm talkin the big money men.

Someone knows who they are.

I can confirm this. I played for UT's lil bro, UT Chattanooga, and our Blue/Gold Spring game was held on this field Spring 2004. It's nicer than any high school fields in the area. He also has a treehouse bigger than the vast majority of people's real houses.

Charles Ergen. Worth ~$9,000,000,000.

Don't know if he's a booster or donator or anything. He's not vocal, if he is.

He lives in Denver Co, he probably has nice box at Mile-High to watch Peyton.....
