Who is your coach of the year?

What Cutcliffe did was amazing, but I think it has to be Malzahn. SEC teams just don't go from 3-9 to 11-1 in one year.

You could put Pinkel's, Malzahn's, and Cutcliffe's names in a hat and just draw one out. Any would be a good choice.

But the thought of Duke playing for the ACC Championship and winning 10 games was just unfathomable in August.

I think the winner of the SEC Championship game gets my vote. What Pinkel did after losing Franklin is pretty remarkable. Don't think Malzahn would have duplicated if he lost Marshall.

Malzahn, followed by Pinkel, then Franklin.. All 3 did a incredible job this year.

Cutcliffe.

2012 Auburn wasn't as bad as their 3-9 record. They just gave up down the stretch. Gus walked into a talent-loaded team. Not to take anything away from what he has done, but he inherited a pretty good team.

Cutcliffe inherited a team that basically never won, has no resources, tradition, etc. and is taking them to the ACCCG.

What Cutcliffe has done - granted, not just this season but over the past couple seasons - is way more impressive.

Cut deserves at least a share of it. He has Duke in the ACC Championship. DUKE! I don't care if you have to give a split of it to CGM.

Cutcliffe and it isn't even close. What he has done for Duke football is nothing short of amazing.

Malzahn

Not to take anything away from Cutt, but Malzahn has his team playing like one of the best teams in the country.

Got to go with Cut as great as Malzahn has been AU did win a title just 3 years ago and they've recruited pretty well Duke has never won anything of substance and have probably never finished in the top 40 in recruiting.

While doing it at a football school and in a football conference. Cut has Duke football, FOOTBALL, enjoying it's first 10 win season and will be playing in the ACC championship Saturday.

I think you have to give the slight nod to Cutcliffe, given the difficulty of reaching a conference championship in football at a program like Duke. That being said, I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Malzahn win it, given the massive improvement Auburn has shown.
