You don't think it takes car control to do what Ken Block does? If you don't I suggest you take a look at some of the videos he has put out.
I could throw a rock in a room of average race car drivers and they could all do what he does if they had his money. Your local dirt track heroes have just as much car control as he does. Hell, go to an East10 drift competition and you'll find someone who can do donuts and pull massive angle in an AWD $400,000 Ford Fiesta. Car control is when Kimi Raikkonen pulls a split second move to avoid someone at Monaco and holds a slide all while under braking, or when Ed Carpenter spins in the short chute at 220 mph and completely but narrowly avoids the wall. Ken's cars are setup to be controllable when they get loose. And he still trashes a bumper or three when he makes those gymkhana movies. Ever wonder why Block can do all those awesome movies and can't finish a stage rally where his car isn't 5-10 times more expensive and well prepped than the rest?
I say this as somebody who's met Block, has a personal friend who is a teammate of his and finds what he does massively entertaining: ptclaus is pretty much spot on.I never said that Ken's car wasn't set up for the type of driving he does. I still think he has good car control. No doubt in my mind that it takes more than one take to make those videos but I don't think there is a driver out there that could make those videos in one take. Also, I never said or hinted that Block has more car control than anyone else. Merely commenting on the fact that not just any person could get in the car and do what he does.

Block's videos are great and he's probably a better driver than anybody posting in this thread, but when it comes to actual high level competition, he's an average driver at best.
