First, good luck to James Banks.
I hope & pray the new surroundings have made a positive impact on his life.
Few if anyone I know can say they've not made some unwise decisions.

Secondly; Carson-Newman is a highly respected religious school & has a great football tradition in its own right. Maybe he'll find success there. Not EVERYONE in the NFL is from a "big name" school.

Thirdly and most importantly; TRUE enough we do pave our own paths. But those that have good direction usually get to a better destination, much quicker!

Very true. I am always amazed at the number of players that come from schools I have never heard of when looking at NFL rosters.

My wife works with Leonard Weaver's mother-in-law. He went to Carson Newman and plays for the Seattle Seahawks.
