People here in Illinois are licking their chops about the Pearl incident. They keep saying Pearl was "always a jerk" but nobody ever got to see the "real" Bruce.

I'm not condoning what he did, but he didn't give anyone a car, cash or free housing for players parents.

I don't think this would be a big deal if he wasn't a whistle blower at Iowa. Someone was just waiting for the right opportunity.. and it presented itself.

He's no different than any other basketball coach, he just got caught. This will pass.
