Unless Mike has a change of heart, Neil Price is the guy, in all likelihood. He was around UT a lot this past summer getting to know the staff on-campus and some of the major corporate partners. He's a Learfield guy and passed on another pretty major job because he knew this one was coming open. If it's him, he'll get to help them select a football analyst and the football broadcast team. Pat won't be back.Mike Keith is obviously the top choice, but I doubt he makes that move.
Wilkerson would be great, but I wonder how close he is to retirement. Any chance Brian Rice could get the gig?
Because Gene’s only job for both was calling the football games. He also missed parts and sometimes entire FSU games when Tampa had a West Coast or international game.If it is Mike Keith, why would he need to quit the Titans? Gene Deckerhoff has called FSU & Bucs games for decades.
Thanks for the info. I do know that Gene has called an FSU on Sat and flown to London overnight for the Bucs game. But that's not very practical.Because Gene’s only job for both was calling the football games. He also missed parts and sometimes entire FSU games when Tampa had a West Coast or international game.
UT is looking for someone to call the football and basketball games, and generate daily content like podcasts, video features, and the existing TV and radio programming during the week. It’s a full-time job. Mike already has a full-time job with the Titans with a contract that stipulates he does not call games for another team and his first priority is to the Titans organization. He very well may be willing to leave that job for one that has always been his “dream job.“ But he will be taking a substantial pay cut to do that, and moving a family that is well established in Nashville.

Hamer will be the basketball analyst, he is doing most of the road games for Bert this season.
No idea how it'll affect the other sports and current broadcasters or if there will be hurt feelings there. Because it's a UT employee, they will open it up and have a semi-public search. But it will be a major shock if it's anyone other than Price.
