Ramsey here.

Bredesen cut our local school budget $1m and added $4m to that of Memphis. More votes there I suppose.

Sunquist did try pass a state income tax, so I don't trust any of them too much.

I have come to trust democrats to do the wrong things no matter what, especially on the national level.

Then you would lose that arguement.
If you think these plants are locating in Tennessee because Tennessee is not a union state, you don't have a clue.
Tennessee has a lot to offer companies to locate here.

right because surely they are the only state offering tax incentives to attract new business. it must be a coincidence that tenn just happens to be a right to work state.

As usual you show you have no clue. Tennessee is one of 22 right to work states.

so it's just a coincidence that Mercedes, Hyundai/Kia, Nissan, VW, BMW and Toyota have all built/will build plants in RTW states?

your point being what? they had to put it build it somewhere no?

You argued they chose Tennesse because it is a non union state.
That is only one of the reasons they chose Tennessee. There are 21 other right to work states.
Tennesse has a lot to offer companies to locate here.
One of the biggest selling points is location.
From a logistics viewpoint, Tennessee and Kentucky are in the best locations in the USA.
I agree with you Tennessee being a right to work state was one factor they considered among several others,.

The right to work state is far and away the most important factor. Of the right to work state, TN is probably one of the highest rated for education and has no state income tax, which potential employees find very attractive.

No it is not a coinidence. RYE was a big factor. If TN was not a RTW state they would have not been considered.
There are other factors a company considers
before locating in a state. RTW is only one factor.

You just helped make my point.
Several factors were considered.
Tennessee is a very attractive state for several reasons.

sans right to work status, TN isn't considered at all.

Agree . Again my point is RTW was a hugh factor, however there are 21 other states that offer RTW they could have chosen.
Tennessee offers much more than simply RTW.
