Who starts against ARK

whats everyone's opinion of using the prowler? it seemed to help get a pass rush when the QB didnt know who was rushing the passer.

Getting Marvin Mitchell back against Arkansas would help, he's a better tackler and the leading tackler on the team.

I think this game will be a lot like 95. They will score a lot of points but we will score more.

Ainge will start but after Crompton's performance I feel better if he has to come in..

He played lights out, the D collapsed,

hello 4th and 8 with 2:00 minutes to go

I'm thinking that they try to play Ainge and then let him rest during the Vandy or UK game, but you never know now with those 2 teams. We might have to use him

I say if Ainge can go and for some reason Coker can't line up Crompton in the backfield.

Yeah it's a joke, but I'd feel a lot better with JC back there than "twinkle toes" Foster

I must be completely out of the loop and not paying attention at all. What happened to Mitchell?

When Crompton laid that hit on the dB after he came in the game, he reminded me of Tebow.

I think he'll give us more options but Ainge will still start

I'd prefer Ainge to play, but Crompton has showed he is a gamer and has the ability to play the position.

I tremble nolonger as Crompton takes the field.......

It's EA's job for the rest of the season if he is physically able to play. Watching Crompton three things stood out: he can run, he can take a hit, and he has a cannon for an arm. On the other hand Crompton made some bad throws on the short passes (I saw him hit Meach's ankles on what looked like a screen pass). This debate will be a lot more relevant next year.

I give him tons of props for wanting to play through injury. what a great way to show leadership and toughness. but, he was gimpy on the sidelines, during warm up. He didnt practice all week. In my opinion, those first two series could have been different (either positive or more negative) with "city of Crompton" in, who by the way did an excellent job. We need not to bash defensive coaches. We just need to overcome adversity, motivate, perservere, practice harder for the next game. I thought it was a great game!!! GO VOLS!!:clapping:

"Twinkle toes" may have seen his last playing days at UT with his arrest at 3:00 this morning.

I don't think they'll be able to keep Ainge out of the game unless he's totally incapacitated. He was shaking his head on the sidelines when Crompton went in. Even Fulmer has said that EA will lie to him about his health in order to get on the field.

Ainge can pick apart that ARK. def.....but I think the larger concern is stopping mcfadden. That dude is just plain awsome. A big strong back.

I love the prowler in the right circumstances, which is when you're 90% sure of a pass. I don't see us running it against Ark - its not effective against the run.

If Ainge is healthy enough to play its his start no question. I'm looking forward to more JC in the future, but Ainge has played well this year - and the last thing we need is another QB controversy.
