who would you say the worst President of the United States ever was?

This is not counting Obama because he is still in office.

He is on the 100 dollar bill but he was never actually President.

"Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch.

Liberty is a well-armed lamb contesting the vote."

-Benjamin Franklin

I still have to go with Barack Hussein Obama as worst,
Carter no longer has to play second fiddle, Obama is history even if he doesn't know it yet.

James Buchanan or Herbert Hoover seem like they'd warrant some consideration here

Unless you just want to go based on amounts done/successful, in which case William Henry Harrison since, well, he died of pneumonia about a month in

Theodore Roosevelt; by far the precedents he set have had the largest and most negative influence on the growth of our Federal Government both domestic and abroad, the loss of rights for private individuals (to include the lack of property rights; Teddy's support of eminent domain is nothing more than an assertion that all property is communal), and the attacks he began against corporations and capitalism continue to this day.

Pierce and Buchanan should receive the award together. Their decisions over 8 years pushed the country toward the Civil War.

The last three we've had haven't been great, that is for sure. Clinton benefited from a decent Congress, otherwise he would be in the W/Obama category.

Can't leave Carter off the list.
