Who will be Georgia's head coach in 2012?

Folks Boise State loses 9 starters and all their important special teams players. UGA will beat them in Athens and UGA will also beat South Carolina. Not sure if anybody has seen UGA's 2011 schedule before they made their predications, but they should be able to win 9 (pretty easily) to 10 regular season games in 2011, so I expect Richt would be back unless they lose the SEC Championship and their bowl game. I expect them to be SEC East Champs due to their schedule and finish 11-3 or 10-4 depending on their bowl loss. I do expect Richt to be fired if they lose their last 2 games, because the only reason why they will have 10 wins is because they play 7 games at home and their only road games are Ole Miss, Vandy, Tennessee and a neutral game against UF.

Also UGA does not play Bama or LSU next year, unless they meet in the SEC Championship if UGA makes it.

Good post. I agree. This was the year for Richt to flame out, but having a new AD and coming back this year with wins at the end of the season saved his job. He'll do better next year and then be around for a few more before they get rid of him. When UT and either SC or FL are fighting for the east year in and year out, he'll be done. Yes, I said SC. Spurrier's got it going a bit there now. Those in state players are staying home now.

Please....Boise State returns 15 starters. The game is also in Atlanta...not Athens.

Boise State by 2 TDs at least.

One thing I'll say about it, there sure doesn't seem to be any division in the UGA fanbase over the Richt situation, like there was (and still is) with us and Fulmer. Their two camps aren't "keep Richt" and "fire Richt"; they're more like "Richt should already have been fired" and "unfortunately, it would be unseemly to fire him now; we're really obliged to give him another year or two and then fire him." Nobody down here seems to think that he's actually going to turn it around and win championships again. I guess that's the difference in having a national championship in your back pocket and not.

There's no doubt about it. He's Phillip Fulmer circa 2005. Although Phil never lost 12 games in a 2 year period.

. . . and they open with a couple of top 15 teams next year. It's going to start getting ugly if he loses both of them.

They open the season with Boise State and then have SC in Athens. They'll be underdogs in both. Meaning, they start 0-2 and there's not a snowballs chance in hell that he comes back. Hell, he might not make it to week three at 0-2.

Watching him this past season, it's clear he's only there for the paycheck now. Absolutely tanking their program...now that I don't mind.:)
Disagree.

Boise lost a good bit of firepower on offense. I'm not sold on them beating UGA. Furthermore, during the past decade, almost every SC/UGA game was close. UGA could very easily start 2-0. Also, since 2008, SC has only won two SEC road games.

Boise is overated. I expect Richt to buy a little more time with a win against Boise early in 2011. BUT UGA goes down in Knoxville.
