I think Fred Thompson might surprise a lot of people and win the Republican nomination.

Many people think the fact his wife is almost 30 years younger will hurt him.

Guillani has been married 3 times, McCain 2 times, in that group no one will make an issue out of it.

They will have to pull re-reuns of Law and Order so he doesn't get free campaign time :)

A Russian doesn't take a dump without a plan.

I voted Clinton (more as a who will be in than a who should be in - and I'm not really confident in her being in at all)..although I might rather see ol' Fred in there....I'll have to think about that...I'm really not sure who I would like to see in the WH.

Jack Ryan?

None of the candidates on the GOP or Commie Party impress me.

I will not vote for anyone for the second consecutive election, probably.

Fred Thompson is a maybe.
Condie would be a possible.
John Kasich would be a definite vote.

I never understand it when people do that.

Why pick between the lesser of two evils (Bush vs Kerry)?

Neither one of those guys deserved to hold the office.

As a conservative, I can honestly say that Bush is better than Kerry... by a nose hair. Not really much of a distinction between Bush and a New England liberal lick Kerry. Bush has spent like a drunken sailor, and Bush's handling of the war has been McNamara-esque. He either should have gone in there to win in Iraq (which means not being afraid to use every weapon and every method at our disposal) or should have overthrown Saddam and left Iraq ASAP and let the Saudis, Iranians, and Turks fight it out.

As soon as those terrorsists dragged those contractors through the streets and hung them on bridges, Bush should have nukes Fallujah within 72 hours unless the people responsible are handed over by the citizens.

That was the turning point of the war. When he didn't throw his weight around at that moment, the terrorists knew that they had us.

And what happened to Bush's promise during the October 2000 debates about not getting involved in "nation building"? :ermm:

Whoever wins out this bunch of candidates... it won't matter. The American republic will be entering its darkest hours and edging towards the twilight. In 40 years, we will be speaking Spanish and praying to Allah...

Thanks America for electing the leaders that we have today. As long as you guys contniue to feed and play into the 2 party machine, the worse off all of us will be...

I refuse to play that game.

Unless we adopt a system of proportional representation in the U.S., the two party system is then only truly functional form of politics that we will ever have. I do not know anyone who feels that either major party fully represents 100% of their beliefs and values, but that should not be an excuse for laziness and apathy.

While in DC the rumblings are in some McCain circles that if he truly implodes his camp moves over to Thompson. I can easily see that happening since both are very close personally and on many issues ideologically.

You are only contributing to the problem by believing that a 2 party system is the only way to go.

To be honest, I don't think I will ever see in my lifetime a strong 3rd party, mainly because too many people believe as you do. It would take a grassroots effort to pull it off, but I think most people are mostly apathetic, not lazy. The apathy explains low voter turnout and the large number of "fence sitters" that we have in this country. There is a definite need for a third party, but I am not optimistic that it will ever happen.

And I refuse to play the game of the lesser of two evils. I realize what you are saying about no party can represent 100% of anyones core values, but I don't see either of these parties coming within 60% of what I value the most, mainly our border situation, taxes and gov't spending, and protecting the lives of American citizens from "future" foreign threats.

At this point in time, I have a fairly difficult time believing any of those listed in this vote/thread will win. I think there is a pretty good chance that, unless Obama becomes a clear favorite to win the nomination in advance of the DNC, then Gore will enter the race and take the nomination as well as the presidency without too much trouble.

Unless one of these parties can present a candidate that would actually do a decent job of defending the Constitution, then I will most likely be voting 3rd party.

it's a sad thing that you weren't in office to start world war 3 and bring about nuclear winter then, too bad, i might have voted for you.
