Who will hire Mel Tucker as DC?

If Mel Tucker is ever within 100 miles of Knoxville...he's too close.

When I read about how he left Colorado, I lost any respect for him I might have had. Now, after "MasterGate", I know all I need to know about Mel Tucker.

I don't want him anywhere near UT Football.

Go Vols.

I mean, DJ Derkin had a job the season after killing a kid in practice. As long as it’s not a HC position, the cumulative attention span is pretty short.

Mel Tucker might be radioactive but we're certain no coach in D1 football pulls off a phone interview like he does.

No thank you! Overrated coach who happened to have a fortunate start in the Big 10, but it was only a matter of time til he crashed and burn. I still remember him as a DC for the zchicago Bears where I've never seen such ineptitude my whole life.

It’s a great idea. Proven track record defensively, I just don’t think heupel will pull the trigger on canning banks this off-season. I could see Martinez getting the boot. If mason would be willing to be a secondary coach that’d be great
there is a reason he was let go from Ok State.

Petrino gets high profile work. Tucker will too. He might have to sit a year or two, but nobody gave a **** anymore what Petrino did, once he got a legit job. The same will apply to Tucker. I think he might actually have a shot at getting a large part, if not all, of his contract. If that happens, teams will be fighting over him.
