I meant to post this before the Chase began, but it is not too late.

Who do you think will win the Sprint Cup for 2011? The current standings are:

Pos. +/- Driver Points Behind
1 +1 Kevin Harvick 2054 Leader
2 +7 Tony Stewart 2047 -7
3 +2 Carl Edwards 2044 -10
4 +3 Kurt Busch 2043 -11
5 +5 Dle Earnhardt Jr. 2041 -13
6 +5 Brad Keselowski 2040 -14
7 +1 Ryan Newman 2040 -14
8 -2 Jimmie Johnson 2038 -16
9 -8 Kyle Busch 2035 -19
10 -6 Matt Kenseth 2030 -24
11 -8 Jeff Gordon 2029 -25
12 -- Denny Hamlin 2013 -41

Harvick - Good choice, in the early lead, been in contention for Cup before, can he stay focused?
Stewart - Great start, been inconsistent, can team stop making crucial errors?
Edwards - Many experts choice for title, not been a contender before.
Ku Busch - Coming on strong at right time, can he put rivalries out of mind? Penske has not won a Championship.
Earnhardt - Not consistent enough, winning races will be required to winning the Cup.
Keselowski - Hottest driver right now, no Chase experience.
Newman - Most intelligent driver in NASCAR, is he smart enough to know that Stewart will put most of resources toward his team?
Johnson - Count out "5 time" becoming "6 time" at your own risk, but has a tougher challenge this year.
Ky Busch - If have to lose one to win one, he is due, temperment not conducive to winning Cup.
Kenseth - My original pick, but already in a hole.
Gordon - Running better at right time, can overcome poor start?
Hamlin - First race, first casualty. Done.

Busch's temperament has gotten better IMO. Hamlin isn't done, but pretty darn close to out. I wouldn't mind seeing Stewart win it

I'll go with Stewart.

I think Gordon, he has been racing well at the close of the season. He will get over that hiccup from Monday.

I will never vote against Johnson until he proves me wrong. I think Gordon, Harvick, Edwards and Kurt Busch are his biggest challenges. It will be interesting to see how Keselowski performs over this 10 race stretch.

I think Harvick, Edwards, Gordon, and Kyle Busch have the best chance to win, but to be the man, you have to beat the man. Until he proves he can be beaten, I'm going with Johnson, as much as I hate it.

I have to agree with most of the posts so far, and I agree most with doozer. The 29 team was close last year, and many times the team coming close the previous year has won. Being the only Childress team in the Chase means all the available resources of RCR will be theirs. I believe Richard Childress will go all out to win this years Chase to make up for what has been an overall poor showing of RCR.

Edwards will back flip his way to NASCAR glory.

That's what I personally am hoping for! But I just want someone besides Johnson to win it. And I mean ANYBODY!! Even Kyle Busch, and I can't stand that little twerp. That should show you right there how much I don't want Johnson to win again.

That's true. If he won the championship, he would really start believing that the world revolves around him revolving around the track.

I like Harvick, Edwards, Johnson and Ku. Busch in that order.

I wish there was more of a gap between each driver when the chase starts. It shouldn't be possible for Kyle Busch and Jeff Gordon to fall 8 spots in one race nor should Tony Stewart be able to gain 7 spots.

Instead of 3 point intervals maybe have it 9 or 10 points between each position.

They want to keep it as close as possible to keep more drivers in contention right up to Homestead. The more drivers still in means their fans are in too.

My thoughts exactly. I'm really hoping neither Bush bro is in contention, as well a JJ. I wouldn't watch the last race or 3, if it looked like it was one of them. Might as well add Keselowski to that list of mine too.

He wouldn't be as bad as Kevin Harvick. Kevin already thinks he's God's gift to motorsports.

Top 5 contenders: Jimmie (he gets better as the Chase progresses!), Jeff (he'll rebound), Kevin (consistent all year!), Kurt and Tony. The one year that Jimmie won it he had 2 DNF's realy and won 5 of the last 6 races. I think that if one driver can be a top 3 or top 4 down the stretch they can win. May need at least one win if not 2. Denny and Jr are out of it after the 3rd race. If Denny doesn't win at Loudoun or at least get a top 4 he's done.
