My pick of Harvick is looking iffy, but he still has a mathematical chance, along with Kenseth. Harvick will need win or place 2nd in the last two races along with both Edwards and Stewart finishing an average of around 15-16 positions behind him depending on laps led bonuses. While not likely, a wreck involving both could put Harvick right in the middle of it as well as bringing Kenseth back into the picture.
It pretty much boils down to Smoke or Cusin' Carl. Stewart has the edge in been there, done that with two previous championships, Carl has a slim lead. Going into Phoenix they are even in wins there at one each, Stewart has many more laps on the track, but now the track is different. That's a push. At Homestead they are even again at two wins each, another push.
If momentum is the deciding factor, Stewart wraps it up, Carl is the most consistent, but he needs a win to hold off Tony in my opinion. At first glance resources available would appear to favor Edwards with Roush/Fenway's impressive operation behind him, however, he has to share them with Kenseth. While Tony's teammate Newman is in the Chase, he isn't going to get a whole lot of attention now that he is out of contention. Mainly the question is how much help is coming from Rick Hendrick, if any.
Who to pick? Toss a coin? Go with head? Go with heart? I'll go with Smoke.
