Let's say you have 2 scholarships left(that seems to be the plan) who are you ideally taking...

With the news of foster visit, and staff visiting Rimmer today, changes a few things.

So you have Nichols, j3, Rimmer and foster left for 2 spots, who ya taking?

I'm going with Nichols and Rimmer.

For sure Nichols and JW3..Don't know much about the other two, but trust the coaches judgment so I would be happy with either one of them as well.

Ideally I want Nichols and JW3. However, it would actually make me feel more comfortable with Nichols and Rimmer just because he'd be a true big man. It seems Counzo has a desire for versatility though. This is a good problem to have though. All four players will be quality guys in some program. The only combination I'd be somewhat disappointed in would be Foster and Rimmer and that is just because the staff has put so much time in Nichols and JW3 and we've spent far too much time on this board debating the whole Nichols and JW3 saga. We can't all that content go to waste. :birgits_giggle:

JW3 & Nichols, no questions asked. With the recent commits and limited schollies we have I wonder what kind of pressure is on the kids and coaches to close this deal?

Also...getting guys like Foster and Rimmer involved at this point is putting the heat on Nichols and JW3. This could be very rewarding for us or both could call our bluff and we end up taking both Foster and Rimmer by taking this risk. Hopefully Counzo has his poker face on...

Any thoughts on Martin maybe letting Landry go if he could land something like JW3, Nichols and Foster? Same goes for Rimmer in place of Foster in that scenario. He would still have Golden and Moore coming back next year and could use that to his advantage if he goes after an elite PG in 2014.

Seems that a lot would hinge on how comfortable Martin is with Moore potentially running the show if Trae were to go down next year. No inside info, but I'd have a feeling that if Martin were to part ways with Landry he'd do it in the Spring after he's evaluated Moore during the season/SEC play. Really, Landry is being used as a recruiter while at Huntington at this point.

Landry will sign in November.

I think it has to be Nichols and JW3 for the influence and presence in Memphis alone. Having 2 "city" kids in Stokes and JW3 will pay serious dividends down the road.

Nichols and JW3. With those 2 guys to close, it will have a ripple effect in the future in getting Memphis metro talent, something Pearl couldn't do.

Nichols for sure. His IQ is unmatched.

Nichols is the obvious one to me, then I'm torn between Rimmer and J3. J3's potential is through the roof, and the plus of another Memphis guy goes without being said.

At the same time Rimmer is a legitimate top 150 true big man, something we are desperately missing in this 2013 class.

You can't go wrong with either, but I'm really torn on the second, Nichols is obviously my first choice though.

Had TSSAA allow Stokes to play his senior year at Southwind he an JW3 would have been a dynamic duo for them. Got to believe these guys still want to play together.

Gut feeling after scouring the internets and just blindly speculating is that we get Nichols and Rimmer. Rimmer would love to play Florida and own Billy D., which Tennessee is wont to do....

And I would be thrilled with that.

Add Nichols or J3 and I'm thrilled...add any 5th player to them and I'm ecstatic.

Both have big positives, really can't go wrong.

If i have to pick I may go j3, I said Rimmer earlier, but I'm changing that.

I don't think the talent differential is big enough between the two to ignore the positive impact signing JW3 could have on our future recruiting efforts of Memphis city kids. To me, it's easily him. If Rimmer were exponentially better, it would be different.
