To be fair Nico wouldn’t have been a Vol if it weren’t for the current landscape. For better or worse. While Nico was leading us to our first CFP appearance ever that, by the Spring , Jarrett Guarantano would have a more favorable legacy in Vol Nation than Nico.
College Football has changed a lot since the Pandemic, and I frankly don't like the changes.
I'm ready to start the debate on who should be the starter now! lolWhile Nico was leading us to our first CFP appearance ever that, by the Spring , Jarrett Guarantano would have a more favorable legacy in Vol Nation than Nico.

Say what you want about Gitmo but the dude put a lot of heart into his play (and velocity on screen passes to the RB in the flat). While Nico was leading us to our first CFP appearance ever that, by the Spring , Jarrett Guarantano would have a more favorable legacy in Vol Nation than Nico.

Just pointing out JG was the object of derision for quite some time among the Vol fan base, but he's got a much better case for being a VFL than that traitor who will no longer be mentioned by name. That's really not fair to JG to compare him to Nico. He lacked the ability to fully back the hype, and still gets railed for it. But he always seemed to be a good kid, and he did try his best for UT. Say what you will about him, but the fan duress he played under while here, gets him points in my book. Says more about the lack of a better option in the QB room than it does him.

JG is also the victim of being remembered for a handful of unfortunate mistakes. Pick sixes in rapid succession tend to stick in one’s mind. They are not reflective of his whole careerJust pointing out JG was the object of derision for quite some time among the Vol fan base, but he's got a much better case for being a VFL than that traitor who will no longer be mentioned by name.
