And he has a point. They're in the SEC's footprint (or, more accurately, our shared footprint with the ACC) ... and have long-standing rivalries with several SEC teams, like South Carolina, Georgia, and Auburn.

And truth be told, to folks outside the Southeastern US, this probably looks a lot like a regional match.

Just an interesting comment made by ESPN that I thought I'd mention.

Your walking on thin ice comparing the ACC to the SEC i hate the ACC almost as much as i hate the Big Ten, Big XII, Pac-12 and Big Ten

Georgia Tech holds the record for the biggest blowout in CFB history when they beat Cumberland University 222-0. I hope Clemson breaks that record and beats Alabama 250-0.

Always a great question when Bama is involved...do you pull for SEC or "no way I can ever pull for a Bama team"?

I'm not so much pulling for Bama as hoping that Clemson loses. It's how I live with myself. :)

I will never understand any Tennessee fan rooting for Bubba to claim its 978th national title.

Clemson....Bama winning another Natty does my team no good. I don't buy into the whole "always pull for the SEC" thing.

Clemson is the lesser of two evils

Got to go with Bama. The reason being for our benefit in recruiting. Bama is always going to be Bama as long as Saban is there. I do not want Clemson coaches waving NC rings around in the Carolina's at all the recruits over there. I would like to see us dominate the Carolina's for top notch recruits. Clemson seems like they are starting to be a thorn in our side in recruiting more and more, sort of the Auburn of the East Coast.

I find myself torn in who to pull for.

On one hand I don' t really care who wins. I hate Bama but generally pull for the SEC in bowl games.

On the other hand Dabo is charismatic and seems to be a really likeable coach and Christian man.

My answer: I voted for Bama because they are in the SEC and I want the conference to claim the title. Call me a hater, NegaVol or whatever but the truth is any bowl win for the conference is good for all members of the conference. A Natty is even better. Next year it will be the VOLS I will be pulling for in this game.

You're not a legit Vol fan if you're rooting for Bama. Period. Don't even try to aruge, there no valid points you can make.

I am rooting for "Not Bama". I don't have strong feelings about Clemson either way. But as i have said before my 2 favorite teams are Tennessee and whoever is playing Bama. So go Tigers.

Hate Clemson but literally despise the other..........

So, unfortunately, by default I am hoping Clemson wins.

Side Note.......I hate when people cheer for the "SEC"...Just STOP!!!!!

In no way shape form or fashion is Bumma winning a title good for UT football.........

I would typically want the SEC team to win. However, there's the SEC and then there's bammer and Florida. So I'm a Tiger fan today.

you dang right, I never pull for two teams, in this order. Florida and Alabama! I will never pull for those two teams! I pulled for OSU last year, and I'm pulling for Clemson this year! I hate Alabama!

Pulling for Bama cause they're in the SEC is like pulling for satan just because he's in the bible. That said...go Clemson, kick they a$$
