We loaded up at linebacker in recruiting plus what we return. We are pretty loaded there not that we might not take a proven one if there. But linebacker is not a priority given all our depth there now. We need a safety and maybe a OG or 2 again if we find someone that can truly help. Maybe a proven receiver.

why safety? We have Turrentine, the two Thomas, Charles, Slaughter, Farooq all back next year plus I'm sure Boo can play safety too. Wasn't that his natural position?

Looking at 24/7's current rankings. I would take Key, Hudson, and Alexander. I see J. Matthews is highest ranked Vol at 94th. The only Vol in the top 200.

Clearly those guys bought into whatever Napier is selling, otherwise their season would have looked a lot worse.

I am going to wait till the staff tips their hand on both athletic and character fits at their defined positions of need. No use entertaining guys requiring NIL in excess of staff evaluation or has other negative fit issues.
