WHos Coming?

I'm considering starting a thread that will keep tabs on all the incorrect things that the Martin haters say. There would be a decent contribution from this thread.

Nothing in this thread is incorrect. There is absolutely no evidence we are leading for Charles Mitchell or any other four or five star. Quit being such a blind homer.

I was one of, if not, Bruce's biggest fan on this site before the disaster. By virtue of you not knowing this, I'll assume you never posted here until recently. That's ok. But, if you really think great kids who are great basketball players are not going to want to come to UT and play for Coach Martin, it is apparent you have an agenda other than just rooting for the team. You really just want to passive aggressively whine about the potato chip and Ramen salesman to our east.

By all means, feel free to post here. I never told you to "get out". Just be prepared to feel like you just got whipped 21-0 every time you start your whiny nonsense.

Nailed it

Not really. Just because our name is on the list doesn't mean they are coming here. Nobody, except for the biggest homers, think we are getting a single four star or higher. That is not being negative, that is the truth. Also, it doesn't mean we cannot be in on some eventually but right now, NO, we are not in on any players four star or above. Also, just because people answered no doesn't mean they were making negative comments. Jesus, where were some of these "quit being negative or get out" posters when Bruce was constantly being bashed on this site (before bbq-gate).
You do realize the question was were we "in on" players not if they were committed right? Because you seem to not understand the meanings of the words.

In on means we have an open line of communication with the player that goes 2 ways. in on means the player mentions your school when the talk about where they might go.... So yes the heck we are in on quite a few players.

About the Pearl stuff. Bruce Pearl is a grown man I have no need to defend him. He is no longer the coach here and purposeful or not he caused quite a mess here in his final years. It is going to take CCM a couple years at least to just clean up the mess much less get to winning games.

Here is the thing...if Pearl wanted my respect he would have stepped down, after the bump rule incident. At that point the writing was more than on the wall and there was no way possible that UT could keep him as coach. Instead the circus went on as it always did on his watch.

Bruce Pearl was an important person to UT mens Basketball. But he was not the answer. He built and the foundation and now it is time for someone else to come in and take the next step. Is is CCM? I don't know but I have hope it might be.

Once again, the reactionary idiots pollute the basketball forum with their negative bullsh*t. I think the basketball forum should be self-moderated by the people who actually give a rip about the team and are not just fools looking to complain because Bruce was a liar, got caught, and subsequently fired.

You all should go root for him to sell more Beanie Weanie and dog food to Big Lots!

Two or three years from now, we will remember CBP's time as the 'good old days'. Don't fool yourself.:hi:

CCM will get it done at UT. I like what he has done so far with the leftovers. SOme decent talent with McRae, Golden, Maymon and some of the young players have looked good as well. Get Stokes and/or Mitchell and he'll be competing for championships.

It's like K. C. Jones quoted after winning the NBA coach of the year award for the 85-86 team. " It's easy to look
brilliant when you have the best starting five in the game". CCM has enough talent to win 20 games. The question is can he coach good enough to win them. Time will tell.

Your user name is a little puzzling. "CCM has enough talent to win 20 games".....??? Strange you would say that considering his "talent" was picked to finish in the bottom three teams in the SEC this year.

No he doesn't. Their high school rankings have not been accurate at all so far...

The funny thing is that your hero had the same roster + an NBA player and Hopson and couldn't win 20.

Tell me what future NBA player he has on his team right now.
