I’ve never been to NYC. Been all over the country except the northeast (Pittsburgh is the furthest NE I’ve been). So I’m really tempted to go Saturday if we win Thursday and see some NYC sites while I’m there.

But I was at the UT-Michigan game in Indy last year. I was at the SEC Championship when Auburn destroyed UT in what was a home game in Nashville. I was at UT-Colorado this year. I was at many other past postseason and neutral site UT disasters.

When I go to UT games at neutral sites, we flop (we play well when I go to games in Knoxville, though, beating Kansas, Kentucky many times, Alabama, among others).

So I’m not going to NYC. It’s not about cost or want-to. Call me superstitious. But I care more about UT winning than giving myself the experience. I really want a Final 4.

Not that I can afford to stay there. Will probably sleep on a Madison Park bench. But, hanging around the lobby is usually a cheap activity. I drew up a couple of new inbound plays for Coach Barnes to consider...

Got to say, the FAU fans near me tried very hard to represent their university as poorly as possible. I won't be watching the rest of the games but I certainly hope Kansas State stomps them to the Shadow Realm.
