For you regulars to Athens: Which lot(s) would you recommend parking and tailgating in?

I'd recommend the parking deck downtown between Clayton and the Clarke County Courthouse. It's huge. Get there early, though!

I'm going with my Bulldog-rooting wife. I'll be the loudmouth in orange pants with the Vols belt buckle.

We have no idea where we are parking yet but we plan on being there by about 1030am so that might be too late to get into some of the good spots.

The deck right off Broad on North Campus and the deck downtown near the courthouse are generally parkable until about 1030 or 1100 on major gamedays. Both locations are about 10 min. walk from Sanford.

There is also a deck on Lumpkin near the convention center (S. Campus). That might be restricted access, though. It is near Stegeman Coliseum and about 20 min. walk from the stadium

I'll be there going nuts! I'm flying down on Friday with my neighbor (He is a GA alum). We have agreed to not sit with each other and the winner buys the drinks afterwards. We have rooms but all I need now is a single ticket preferably in the TN section. Any suggestions?

If someone can find me 4, you can sit with me, my friend, and my wife if you can afford whatever the price is. Ofcourse we won't pay more than 75.00 per ticket.

I think we will be fine ticket wise. I hope. At the other away games I have attended, I was always successful at finding a single ticket from a fellow Vol. Finding four might be tough. Thanks though.

Just saying that if I find four between now and then, I'll let you know, and you are welcome to one of them. Not trying to adopt you or anything. :p

Awesome. I'd rather be adopted by fellow Vol Fans than have to sit with a bunch of Dawgs. Please, let me know what you find. I'm on here at least a couple times a day so I will check back. Thanks again. GO VOLS!

When I went to UGA (yes I know) I took my student ticket and decked myself in orange....it was fun. My best friend's dad was UGA alumni and we took his tickets and I wore orange right in the middle of that section. THAT was even more fun.

Ummm... Get your drink on? Hey, hey, hey!

If there is one thing that is not difficult, it is wasting six hours on gameday in Athens, GA.

If nothing else, you can go to the Ritz and check out the Big Orange Tailgate Tour.

I recommend you eat lunch at Achim's K-Bob. It's on broad right across from East-West Bistro. Best sammich in Christendom.
