So what. You take a good player when you can get one. It doesn't matter the position or when they will actually get playing time.

I don't disagree with that statement. However, I was responding to a question of whether any of these guys would be impact players as freshmen. The fact of the matter is that UT very rarely has impact players as freshmen because the cupboard is never bare of talent, and it takes an incredibly talented freshman (like Berry) to even be placed in a position to make a big impact as a freshman. The overwhelming majority of freshmen that see any playing time at all do so on special teams, and virtually none of those guys are what I would consider impact players as freshmen.

This year's recruiting class is important because this year's class and next year's class will help determine how good our team is three and four years from now. It won't really have much impact on our team this year.
