Man, I really hate UCLA though and they are in that weak Pac-10 (right milo?). I am torn.(GAVol @ Apr 2 said:Sorry . . . I can't do it. I know some people say they always pull for the SEC, but I can't think of circumstances where I would pull for Georgia, Florida or Alabama in ANYTHING.
Exactly... You could have had 3/4 teams in the Final Four and they're still gonna yap and yap about the Big East and ACC next season. They always have, they always will.(Orangewhiteblood @ Apr 2 said:I understand that, but how much does it really matter? Things are what they are and UF winning a NC won't do much for the SEC. They'll still be talking about the Big East next year.

having UF win the N.C., a team UT beat twice in the regular season, is going to give UT and the rest of the SEC equity going into next year.
Good point oklavol. IMHO the Gators winning the crown would be great for the SEC and even better for the Vols 'cause we whipped them twice this year... :shades:(oklavol @ Apr 2 said:i think the perceived strength of your conference affects your ranking in polls and your seeding in the tournament.

Pearl and the vols beat UF twice in the regular season, possibly the eventual national champion. the sec may have been the strongest conference this year as well. that makes what he did this year even that more impressive then it was.
