Like who? I haven't seen anyone post it was the "only" reason. Everyone knows (or they should) his draft projection played a big part. But if he hated it hare and didn't have any confidence in the staff he might have decided to take his chances.

Regardless, his leadership and experience should be an asset for Tennessee this year. I'm excited to see A.J and Maggitt on the field together this season. :hi:

Always loved A.J.. His character has always been nothing but outstanding --despite the recent arrest. A.J. came in as a freshman and played well in the SEC. Only thing I have ever criticized him (and the rest of the D) is SPEED. He has got to get faster!

Tennessee is a better defensive team this coming year with AJ Johnson on it. I'm glad he's back no matter what his NFL stock is!!
