Why after all these years

Are fans leaving when we are undefeated in a blow out game? All these terrible years we have been begging for a good team and when we get one we walk out before the game is over. IMO the fans should stay and support this team the entire game. We expect results from the team they expect it from the fans.
When you start paying for my tickets knucklehead you can tell me when to leave. I also had a 7 year old with me that lasted 3 quarters. So before you start a thread b1tching about when I,who paid for season tickets and had my ass in a seat..... Who are you ? Cry more or find something else to b1tch about.... The fans showed up. Where were you

I think the OP’s heart is probably in the right place just wants the players on the team supported. Was very proud of how many little kids we saw today. Was there some program for older fans today? There was a ton of older fans as well.

Not being a smartass I was there. 52-7 at half guarantees people are leaving early. Especially when we line up and run the ball 3 plays. This wasn't a Conference game. Travel time and young kids dictate that sometimes. What I am being direct about is you do not pay for the people who leave. If anything people get better seats to use. I get the message but this TEAM has SUPPORT. A lot of it.

It's homecoming. Lots of festivities on campus all day. Also, it's Martin.
All I'm saying is it's normal.

I'd be there until after The Waltz. But to each their own.

We're always some of the last to leave. I have figured out after many years that I can either fight traffic for an hour or play around on my phone in the stadium for an hour. I get back to the hotel at roughly the same time anyway.

I paid good money when I was going to the games. I stayed till the very bitter end every game. But to each his own.
I’m just super proud that homecoming was a sold out affair. Go VOLS and Go VOL NATION!!!

Let fans decide how to be a fan, op. You do what you want and let them do what they want.

Game's in the bag. Let's get to the restaurant before the crowd. Beat the traffic...et cetera.

It is absolutely amazing the things that some members of this fanbase can find to stress over. Even when UT was consistently good and won with regularity, the stadium emptied early in blowouts. Give me a break.

Yes I was wondering the same. It’s been a long time plus the cost just to get in more. Hell I’m going early and staying late!

I'm glad I listened to the radio broadcast. I'd have blown a gasket if I saw all those fair-weather fans leaving early.

Why would you make a long drive knowing the game is going to be over at halftime?

I didn’t today, knowing the likely outcome you note. Also, I have never left a game early when the outcome was in doubt. And for huge, monumental games of historic consequence? I’m there until the end, like the recent Florida win. And for that one, we planned ahead optimistically - we had a hotel.

Yea actually I am. Shouldn’t just support the entire game when it’s a big opponent. I remember this fan base begging to beat Troy and the likes of…..so yea we should support the entire time blowout or not

the players notice it, too. one might be third string, but he wants to impress as much as the starters do.

I would stay for the whole game win or lose badly, but that's me.

All but the first home game this year are sellouts. The rest should be once Mizzou sales wrap up.

That's a good deal for the athletic department and fan support has been wonderful this year.

I’m done with this thread you can’t bring up a legitimate concern or comment on this site without keyboard warriors bashing you. My point was we’re finally good stay the entire game and support the team you say you love
You said what you wanted. You can't control anyone else. If you don't like the comments then maybe not start a thread next time. This fan base doesn't just support the Vols. Look what they did for the UTM player. They are very passionate and when you question that it comes off condescending, especially on their message board.
