Why are some posts so down on the VOLS?

and we don't understand what the problem is?

Yes we do. It has been going on 6 out of the 7 past years. It's called our offense. I have not been a fan since 98 (longer), I never said fire Chavis after one game, and yes I do watch and understand the game.
When your defense finishes in the top 20 overall every year, your recruiting class is always in the top 5, and you haven't won the SEC Champioship since 98................................................................... OH wait, 99 is when Randy became OC and since Randy became our OC our offense finishes in the 80's overall every year. After watching our offense for the past seven years I have come to the conclusion offensively UT is inept.

Obviously our D kept us in the Florida game. After watching what Alabama did to UF's defense I really am second guessing the fans who do not see what is wrong with our offense. If we play a team that our defense has trouble handling do you honestly think our talent stacked offense is going to bail us out? What is going to happen when we roll into Notre Dame and our Defense struggles? UGA two years ago? Thank God for Chavis.

YOU cry babies must  have started being UT fans in 1998....I AM 100% BEHIND THE VOLS AND ALL OF THIS CRYING MAKES ME SICK!!! ..

No crying here, we are just discussing things. That's what happens on a message board. I bet you are one of those fans who is happy with winning the SEC East and nothing more. Most of us strive for excellence while you are just happy that we win more than we lose, rather it be 9-2 8-3 or 6-5......

As for you accusing me of being a fan since 1998, you can ___ ____ ____. I have been a Vol for a long long time. 1998 showed me that we can win the big one. Hopefully, we'll win another big one someday. That would almost be better than winning the East and having a winning record.

We need schedule one more team before we play florida or move them back towrd the the end of the season. Fulmer has done a terrible job prepping us against florida early in the season. IT takes him a few gamer until he finds his right lineup. I think he is only 4-9.
PRime example. 1997 He didnt start using Jamaal Lewis until the 4-5th game of the season and still rushed for 1300 yds.

We need to beat teams when we have more talent than they do. Put the throttle down, and do not let up.

Some people are unhappy for a simple and very logical reason: The UT offense has been bad--and often very bad--for large parts of the LAST FOUR years. There has been a //pattern// of bad offensive football--and things have not improved. With the exception of the second half of the lsu game, when the tigers got complacent, the offense has been pretty weak most of the year. What's more, the same is true for special teams: With the exception of punting and FG kicking, they have been bad for YEARS--absolutely terrible ko returns, bad punt returns, bad punt coverage.

Mikey sez, 'be patient.' he doesn't get that we have been patient. special teams have been a joke for years--they have not gotten better, and neither has the offense. That's the heart of the matter. The florida game was easily winnable--had the offense and special teams just been mediocre instead of embarrassing. I don't think Fulmer really gets how inept the offense and STs have been in recent years.

Fulmer's genius his grinding out ugly wins just when it looks like the season is headed into the toilet and he's gonna be on the hotseat. georgia has beaten UT the last two times they've played in knoxville, so this is a big game. :hi:
