Why are we not in the top 25 this year?

And a game UT must win to add to their resume for getting an invite to dance. In addition for CCM at getting another sig win and getting a few critics off his back.

If we are a genuine T25 team we should handle Xavier.

Beyond the rankings, this is a huge game for Coach Martin imo. If we lay an Oakland-like egg then the grumbling about him will commence again - right or wrong.

Not a pushover, but if we're a legit T25 team we should beat them.

The game here last year was ugly. They out-toughed us (Cuonzo's words), outrebounded us by 16, and Golden was hurt and played like it. Stokes had early fouls and only had a couple of baskets. Luckily they couldn't throw it in the ocean.

Their leading scorer from that game (Taylor) graduated. I can't see that they've added anybody to their roster that we have to worry about. Christon is their best player - he was 1 for 9 with Richardson dogging him.

Their big boy transfer from WMU may give Stokes a good game. Plus, that game was in the friendly confines of TBA. Martin is going to need to show that his squad can win road games this year in order to make the dance.

They caught us napping as we skated through that ridiculous C-USA schedule and they kicked our butts on the boards.

Slowed it down and threw zone defenses at us. It was an ugly game.

I was actually very stunned to not see us in the top 25. Its total BS...no respect! You don't judge on past performances and seasons, you predicate your rankings on the CURRENT TEAM at hand! Inexcusable that we are not ranked, Im sorry...

Guys, let's be realistic. There's no way they would rank a team that lost in the first round of last year's NIT in the top 25. What's next, ranking them #1?
