Why both parties are destroying the country

I do not entirely disagree however technology has changed the world with regard to foreign policy. Washington's world was one where you had months to prepare for an attack because the enemy simply could not get here in sufficient force any sooner.

I believe there is a justification for helping countries that share common values and are not aggressors also.

Just curious, but what justification is there for stealing from me (taxation) in order to benefit others? I disagree with most of the arguments given for most government programs, but at least they can make an argument about how that spending in some way benefits me, but what valid argument can be made that spending my money to protect Israel (or any number of other countries) benefits me? Taking my money 'for my own good' at least has some semblance of morality to it. Taking my money to help people that are in no way connected to me? Not as much. I would be interested to hear your POV.
