...msu, ole miss and Lsu lost in their bowl games? I know, everytime any of the opponents scored in any of those games the announcers said the sec just got scored on. It was never about ole miss getting beat, it was always the sec getting beat, just like it was when msu was getting whipped. I actually think the announcers said sec in those games more than om, and msu. The media builds Ya up, and then precedes to tear Ya down with a vengeance. It was actually quite comical in the msu game. For a minute I thought ga tech was playing some team named sec.

I was happy to see all three lose. These are our rivals that we are fighting tooth and nail over recruits. Screw em

I feel great about it. They lose, we win, recruits roll in to Knoxville. We win again. Screw the rest of the sec.

I'd like to see a list of players who are going to commit to us because other sec teams are losing their bowl games

I don't care if the SEC goes 1-13 in the bowl games as long as Tennessee is the one win. SEC pride is dumb, and it's good to see some of them getting embarrassed. Hopefully we can live up to our end of the deal, though, and that will make us stand out more than if we were just one of 10+ SEC teams that won their bowl game.

I don't think bowl losses have anything to do with recruits decisions. We were top 5 and didn't even play in a bowl last year. Bama was whipped soundly in their bowl but was number one in recruiting. I do think several like to go to the best percieved conference in the land. Sec took a hit today in that perception. The media has sure latched on to the beat down. As I typed this, espn was mentioning sec more than ever. They will take lots of shots at our conference unless Bama takes cares of business in the playoffs.

I don't care that they lost but I also realize the SEC bowl record will still be better than the other conferences at the end of it all.

The narrative will flip today. I hate all three but I expect Auburn Bama and Mizzou to take care of business against their Big 10 opponents tonight. And then we'll beat Iowa in a close game. That will make the SEC 8-3. These sports newscasters are crowing too early.

There are 3 SEC vs Big 10 matchups today and I hope the Big 10 sweeps them. Then when we beat Iowa tomorrow we will be the lone SEC team to beat a Big 10 bowl opponent.

I hear what you're saying, but I believe that the Big 10 is the worst of the p5 conferences right now. It's quite possible that Rutgers will have the sole Big 10 bowl victory this season.

Big 10 is the worst out of the top 4 conferences. The SEC is still number 1 but the gap with the PAC 12 is minimal and could shift. The Big 12 and 10 are close but this year the edge goes to the 12 because of their strength at the top. Both are top heavy conferences. The Big 12 has worse teams at the bottom, but more good teams than the 10.

The AAC is no longer a power conference and could be rated lower than the Mtn West, who are quickly rising.

Well, I hope they are taking shots all off season if it hinges on bama losing.

I may be in the minority on this, but I personally believe teams lose a lot of the momentum they have gained in November during the bowl games after waiting 3-4 weeks to play the game. If the NCAA does go to an 8 team playoff, I hope they consider playing the first round a week (or a max of 10 days) after the conference championships.

Glad to see west teams lose. Listening to Finebaum and other talking heads rant about that division made me realize why the rest of the country hates the sec. Go big ten until tomorrow
