Why did UGA sweep us?

The biggest factor that caused these two loses was the timing. First time we lost we were in the worst slump of the season as a team, and the second time we lost we were simply due a bad game at some point and Trae and Stokes provided it for us.

Sorry dude. I could come back with a smart ass remark but I won't. Not going to get in a pissing match. But your original response seemed to insinuate that matchups have no effect in basketball. Too bad I have a law degree.

I vote DUMB LUCK on Georgia's part. I don't think we played too well & that dude with 6 names played good both games ...

Georgia has a lot at of speed and/or height at the guard positions. Golden struggles against speedy guards IMO. And McBee was giving up 4 inches against Pope. And their other guard was shooting lights out. With Georgia, it seems to me, that it really was all about match-ups. Lets face it, if you don't match up well with the other team, regardless of who you are, you are in for a bad day.

Sorry man, that was DH thing to say. I have a bunch of friends that are successful lawyers and they would kick my butt for saying that.

No problem. I really try not to resort to name calling. We all have different experiences and opinions. I just took offense to the intelligence comment. I certainly am not the smartest guy and don't try to be. Maybe my initial went too far. I know we all want the same outcome- our team to win.

I just find it weird that we lose to UGA, then get really fired up and go on a 7 game streak........and then show up to the 2nd UGA game looking like it was the first time we played them.

It base talk, bad losses happen, look at all the bubble team. How did ole miss lose to Mississippi State? UK to UGA? Heck even Michigan to Penn State?

The college game has a lot of parity, it happens.

If we don't shoot a team out of a zone we lose. We didn't shoot well either game. They play a good 2-3 zone

By the time we played and lost to UGA a second time, it wasn't nearly the bad loss on the floor it was the first time. Apart from us and perhaps as much as us, the dawgs may be the most improved team in the conference from the first half of the year. More and more, I'm hearing the word 'conference contender' attached to them for next season. I certainly don't think we should've dropped that first one, but so far I haven't noticed a post in this thread - in response to the OP's question - that simply gives UGA a little credit for having greatly improved.

I mentioned that they played some tight OOC games- UCLA and Southern Miss. Not sure how good they will be next year. KCP had to think about leaving. Don't think the draft is real deep this year.
