Why did we schedule @ Ohio State for an opener

Get over the scheduling and let it play out for the Season.

Better question is why didn't CKH prepare the team to play better against these 2 ranked teams?

What we have seen in the last two games is little defense, massive turnovers, and a stale offense. No grit and grind. I am questioning conditioning as we have been taken to the bank. The Talent is there but the Coaching is not.

Playing two ranked teams to begin the season is a good thing. Let the UT coaches, players, and fans know immediately how over-ranked they were, and where they need to improve.

Many felt a Top 5 was not earned yet, that the #9 ranking was a good starting point but generous too. If we can’t beat ranked teams early it’s best to get it out of the way to make a run late by adjusting now.

Good question, does she do all the team scouting or do individual coaches scout upcoming teams and game plan with staff? Might be an area to reflect and adjust accordingly

Pat never did this, not because she wouldn’t, but because I’m sure nobody in their right mind would schedule Pat Summitt and the Lady Vols as their home opener.

Have to remembered when Pat was here people truly feared us. No way they were going to sign up to get their butts kicked on their home floor for the first game of the season.

Sadly we don’t carry the same big stick we used to. Teams don’t fear us, they look forward to the opportunity to out tough us and embarrass us.

Sorry but there is just so much projection on what CPS did or did not do to justify someone's opinion. Here the opening schedule for the defending NC during CP3's final year as a vol:

11/11/07 Thompson-Boling Arena, Knoxville, Tenn. UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE 76, CHATTANOOGA 56
11/15/07 St. Pete Times Forum; Tampa, FL UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE 70, #9/8 Oklahoma 67
11/18/07 UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE 92, #21/22 TEXAS 67
11/21/07 Civic Center, Charleston, W.Va. UNIVERSITY OF TENNESSEE 67, #16/17 West Virginia 49

As per usual, you have climbed on your high horse, but make no damn sense lol.

As I noted, no ranked team would have schedule Pat for their season opener at home.

What you posted confirms that. Opened that season with Chatty then played OU on a neutral floor.
