Why do our running backs trouble following the blockers?

Not really. I have a niece who dances with the grace of Alstair on a moonbeam, but will trip over a blade of grass when carrying a tray or glass of water.

Sounds eeirly similar to Neal with the dancing and tripping thing.

Look, I'm not trying to blast the guy but he certaintly hasn't proven without a doubt that he should be our #1 back. IMHO

That is only one, and he is not playing.
What I`m saying is that we will not be competitive with the best teams until we field many 4 and 5 star players.

Don't forget Paulk.... top all purpose back in the state of Georgia, having a huge senior season so far. That's 2.....

Yeah...this was Butch's first recruiting cycle here. You can't say "until Butch can recruit 4 and 5 star RBs" when his only class already has a 5 star RB.

our backs are no good, have never been good, and never will be.

Until Butch can recruit some 4 and 5 star running backs, we will remain fair at best.

It is all about recruiting.

The best teams in the country are loaded with 4 and 5 star players.

Getting these types of players to come to a loosing program will not be easy.

Butch has a hard row to hoe.

Both were 4 stars...

The problem is he has no run support. The inept offensive line (coach) and the fact we have no real SEC caliber running back is obvious, or at least one that has played up to SEC caliber to this point.

Problem is not RBs its QB who doesn't know how to run the read option properly and can actually hit a pass on a crucial down...when Worley holds the ball then hands off to the RBs the defense has already honed in and stuff the run...when Lane or Neal gets an opening they can make yards even though they are not the fastest we have had...

Opposing defenses don't have to worry about the element of surprise with our offense. There is no read option and we can't pass very well. They just focus on the run and shut it down if they're halfway decent. It's a easy job for good defenses.

My dad kept ssaying Lane is the better runner but I think he has a harder time finding holes I swear he looks for someone to run into.

I don't care how good you OL is, if your passing game is phantom then you won't be able to run the ball well. Look at Bama's pass 2 QBs. Not a great passing game but just enough the D couldn't stack the box.

That's really what it boils down too. You have to prove you can hurt a team throwing or with your legs. There is enough film on us this year that teams can eliminate the pass and the QB running. That only leaves the running game for them to focus their attention on..
