Why Do We Feed The Trolls?

Yes. Trolls thrive on response, any response.

The only way to kill them is to ignore them.

When they see no responses to their posts, they dry up and die.

The only good Troll is a dead Troll.

We must not feed the trolls.

So, kicking trolls is out. What about just throwing rocks at them? Spitting on them? tieing tins cans to their tails? Maybe even a pack of firecrackers? :(

there are alot more "trolls" on this board than we know about. there are very few real volnationites on here.

it would be real hard to weed them all out of here.

Tell Sarge to shut his pie hole and I promise I won't do it anymore. How was the PM answer, by the way?

Now way Jose.

It just seems that way because Trolls are like mold.

You give them a start and they'll cover the whole place like kudzu.

A simple seedling of kudzu will cover an entire acre. It's the same with Trolls. It's like a stomach virus. A small amount of diseased bacteria can make the whole body ache and convulse.

We must not feed the Trolls.

Some of these comments refer to "trolls" as in the creature that lives under a bridge.

I was under the impression that it referred to someone "trolling" for responses - like the fishing technique.

Anyone know for sure?

Why don't you worry about your life and not Randy. Go be with your beloved Coach Majors in Pittsburg or something.

Sarge is all Vol.

I disagree with him on a lot of his opinions but I'm not threatened by opposing points of view. Sarge presents his views in a civil manner, even though I think he's wrong about our coaching staff, he doesn't strike me as anything but a Vol who despises Randy Sanders.

If we excluded every Vol who doesn't like Randy we'd only have half a stadium filled at Neyland on Saturdays.

Sarge is not on the Troll list.

It would help his rep around here if he said something positive on occasion. :biggrin2:

Sorry you cannot handle the truth about Randy Sanders. The stats I posted last week were just that, STATS. In other words, FACTS. My love for the Vols does not run deep enough to not see the facts. His simple minded play calling has caused me and many, many other Vol fans to become frustrated with the under-achievement of our program!

Either way you describe it, it's not a positive thing to be a Troll.

Trolls do live under bridges though. Sometimes they sneak under your bed when you're a kid too. I know. :biggrin2:

Last post and I'm out for the weekend...Mark Twain said a very true thing once Sarge..."There are three levels of liars...Liars...Damn liars...and Statistics." Stats don't take into account many things like heart of the players...talent of the players...quality of opponents...to say David was better than Randy because of offense production is simple-minded and shows your lack of understanding of the game.

Thanks, I thought the Vols showed guts and moxy Monday evening. I was proud of them and proud to be a Vol. That does not change how I feel about Randy Sanders though. And I think you correctly stated 50% of Neyland would like to see our offense directed by someone else.

That's what people usually say when they have no come. By the way, I posed this to Sarge in PM...he's the stat man...check the stats on Coach Majors (whom I never put down, by the way) and Phillip.

Well Sarge, in most every program, the favorite player on the field is the backup QB and the most hated coach is the OC.

I think you're absolutely incorrect to describe the Vols as underachieving. Coach Fulmer still has the winningest record of all SEC coaches and is 2nd nationally, so his staff is doing something right.

No one wins them all but the Vols come closer than anyone in the SEC.

Just as you can post stats to support your opinion, I can point out intangibles that debunk them.

In 2001 we were one win away from playing for a NC. We missed out but that's not underachieving, it's just coming up short. It happens.

In 2002 we had disunity on the team, no real threats at receiver, and injuries that would cripple any team.

In 2003 we were in a definite rebuilding state, and we won 10 games.

Last year, we won 10 games with 2 freshmen QBs and a third string outcast from LSU. That had to be one of the best offensive coaching jobs by anyone in the country.

The problem with most fans is; the staff is no better than their last loss.

Now, I'm through discussing this in this thread. This is the Troll thread.

We must not allow it to get hijacked. Mikey, that goes for you too. :biggrin2:

We must not feed the Trolls.
