Why do we not recruit Virginia??

Are you serious? Not everyone in this area goes to VT. I refer you to the list in post 23. Just a few make a noise? There 2 1/2 million people in the Hampton Roads or Southside area. Again take a look at the list, more then just a few freaks. Michael Vick had a home in Suffolk, that's where he got caught in the dog fighting thing.

Trust me, I've lived here my whole life, I know those lists very well. I'm referring to the depth here from a recruiting standpoint. Look at the Top 50 list from the area, after the top 5 guys, hardly anyone is considering any schools of note (except VT and UVA). Great recruiting areas have one team that might have 3 or 4 legit D1 guys on it. Hell, there are two guys in the area Top 10 that are considering Kent State.

L Thourogood and T Hughes both had TN in their top 5 so maybe we are recruiting better there now. The list did refer to TN coach Kiffin so I do not know how current the info is.

That list certainly had some guys with issues of grades man. Come on! Look at the guys from lower in the list who have offers past 20 from Maryland etc.

Can you imagine the 20 something best recruit in the KNS from East TN having an offer from Georgia Tech?

what about it? it lists players born as early as 1912 and across several sports not to mention several regions which was the op's point. tennessee could rival that silly list.

Pretty sure we have no shot with Hughes, which I really wish wasn't the case. No clue about Thourogood but if I'm betting today, I'd say Tech.

And the only spot on there where I saw the name Lane Kiffin, it had USC Head Coach in front of it, unless I missed it in another spot.
