This topic is dedicated to our hatred of Tom Brady. He is someone I just really hate,but I can't really pount my finger to why. Is it because he whines about not getting respect, or because he is a pretty boy with a smackable face?

I'm leaning towards pretty boy with smackable face.

I would much rather punch him in his throat though.

While I agree that what he said about getting no respect was stupid (The only time you complain about this is in college football, because teams need votes. In the NFL, you earn your respect on the field and that's all there is to it). But before that I can't point out any one situtation. I respect Tom Brady and the Pats. They go out on the field and win. That's all there is to it.

I didn't realize I was supposed to hate Brady. I really have no feeling one way or the other. He wins and I gotta give him props.

Having said that, I'm pulling against the Pats in the playoffs. Nothing personal against them, I just want to see someone else win the thing for a change.

I like watching tom brady do what he does in the nfl... as long as he aint playing the titans or the jags. man he brutalized my jags man. got to give him props though... he is the MAN in the clutch.

three reasons:
1. Last year's AFC championship game. I have never been to a game that was colder. -15 degrees at kickoff, all geared up for a big Steelers' win, and here comes the patriots....bah, humbug...terrible ending to a great day.
2. The super bowl between the Pats and Panthers...he came down and got the drive for the game winning FG with less than a couple of minutes to go...heartbroken, and he's to blame.
3. the 2001 AFC champ. game...against the Steelers. my future wife at the time was at this game with her father, and he broke her heart.

screw the patriots and Tom Brady :bad: :realmad: :thefinger: . Go Broncos this weekend!!!

The word Michigan is foul mouth in my home. Boston Mass doesnt help him out any, for heavens sake who ever changed the UNI'S should have been kicked in the teeth. :yuck:

So, you hate Brady because he wins. You would probably be the first one to welcome him onto your beloved Steeler's. Can't expect too much from Pittsburgh fans though, you guys couldn't even appreciate what Bradshaw did for the Steelers.

Michigan is foul mouth??? You are either an Ohio State fan or you are still erked that Charles Woodson had a better 1997 season (not career) than Peyton Manning, thus winning the Heisman...which is a seasonal award.

For four years, Brady never mouthed off in any way. This year, the media basically declares the Patriots dead in like week 6 or 7, and Brady tells them they need to show some respect to the reigning Super Bowl Champs. Then he backs it up, and has his most impressive regular season of his career and the Patriots are now going to Denver to face the Broncos in the second round of the playoffs. It really ticked me off when media analysts were comparing Brady to Montana, but that's not Brady's fault, and frankly, he just might be better than Joe was (I really hate having to admit that.)

yeah, he wins over the teams i root for? what do you expect? and as for Bradshaw, he was one of my favorites...i remember as a kid, i had to have his jersey and a helmet etc.....loved the guy....now, i do know what you mean though, there were some bad feelings there between fans and him....but not all fans.

and as for wanting Brady on my team? well, i'm not exactly crying over Big Ben. He's pretty good. Not as good as Brady, but he doesn't have to be on this Steeler's team. Now, put him on the Panthers...yep, i'd trade Jake for Tom any day, but that's because i'm not stupid. :naughty:

I think pretty much all of these apply:

1) Pretty boy with smackable face.
2) Whining about "no respect" (even after 2 Super Bowl wins and ESPN's fawning)
3) Success

4) Played for Michigan
5) Keeps beating Peyton and the Colts

yeah, and i think i seem to remember the heisman going to one Ricky Williams based on a career...hm. Oh well, the heisman doesn't mean anything anymore....all hype.

and we all know how the pro careers of who finished 1 and 2 in that 97 heisman vote worked out huh?

I hate him because

1) He is a Michigan grad
2) He is a pretty boy
3) Without his defense, he doesn't get those Super Bowls, yet he gets all of the credit

The Heisman is a joke any more. Can anyone name the past 5 Heisman winners off of the top of their head?

You have to be from USC, Ohio State, Florida State, Michigan, Miami, Notre Dame, Texas or Oklahoma to win the Heisman. In other words, a media darling school.

Yes, it was undoubtedly the Patriots' defense on the field that led those 4th quarter, Super Bowl, game-winning drives.

You could say the same of Tee Martin, who was a good QB, but it was the defense that won the NC, just like NE's D won their Super Bowls for them.

Joe Montana never would've won a Super Bowl without his defense.

John Elway never would've won a Super Bowl with Terrell Davis/that offensive line or his defense.

Brett Favre never would've won a Super Bowl without Reggie White.

Troy Aikman never would've won a Super Bowl without his defense.
