You cant prevent an injury if it happens it happens whether on the NCAA level or pro level. If he came back and had a great year with out injury the best he could do is move to 1 or 2 and earn a little more cash. If he left now he could set himself for life and set his parents for life and come back later to finish a degree. Family comes before records and such so he should jump for the league.

It would not be terrible if he came back and no of you can truthfully say you would be mad if he were still roaming in the backfield next year.. GO VOLS!!!

He should call up Hefney and ask him if he should stay.

I'm not saying Hefney was a first round pick like Berry will be, but damn, that senior season he had was abysmal and really killed his chance at the NFL.

All they have to do about the money situation is do what a bank done with LeBron James make a contract that says that Eric will bank with a certain bank and that bank give his parents money and Eric pay it back when he signs a contract or Alan Jones (owner of check into cash/huge UT booster) cash a check for his parents and Eric pay CIC back.

I wished he would stay, cause I'm greedy and love seeing him in orange. However it would be a mistake for him to stay. He has given the Vols more than we could ask for. He's actually making a responsible decision in regards to his family, his parents are unemployed and have 2 kids to take care of. He has the chance to recieve an unbelieve paycheck that would help his family grately. So.... Thanks EB for your time and I will root for whatever team you go too (except maybe the patriots : ) sorry Jerod Mayo).

Gone.

Eric - Thank you for coming to UT - You will always be a VOL. Go dominate the NFL on defense like Peyton does on offense. Make us proud for years to come.

Who's Jermaine Gresham?

I'll answer myself: Exactly

I'm not sure if you were taking a shot at Gresham or not, I can't really tell. But dude is a beast. He was going to be the #1 TE in the draft if he woulda left and was a 1st round lock...

I don't want him back....don't take that the wrong way,I would love to see him in a vol uniform for the next 10 yrs & I think CLK looks at it this way also...I would feel sick if he got hurt, blew an ACL,etc.etc..

His stock can't go any higher, no matter if he won the Heisman next yr.
The kids from OU showed everyone if you're a top 5 pick, you better bolt.

He's probably looking at 20 million guaranteed ,40-50 million over 5-6 yrs as the #2 pick overall
