Why does this need to be said?

Volnation ebbs and flows with what the head coach says. If he says we looked awful then most here say we'll be lucky to win four games. If couple days later we look great were winning 8 or 9 and going to a great bowl game.
What I am taking out of this year's camp is that the team is a lot more talented and is progressing each and every day. How many we win will be determined as to how the young players progress as most of the talent on the team is their ability.
You can never get caught up in what the coach says. He is trying to motivate a lot of players to get better. I think Butch sees this team as one that could upset a couple of good teams. I think he is excited about the potential ability of this team. Regardless of this season and the final win loss numbers the future is very bright these players will grow and get better. I personally believe this team is gonna compete at a high level against everybody this season. It is how many of the close games we win that will determine our record.

If it didn't happen.. what would be the point of this website?

We have people who have meltdowns over how many dropped balls we have in a practice.

We have people who verbally assault other posters because they think we might win 2 or 3 more games then them.

We have people who would insist Butch was the second coming of christ even if he had reds skin, horns and a pitch fork.

We have people who would insist the jury is still out on his coaching ability right after we beat Bama, UF and UGA at the same exact time, with an average margin of victory of 16 points.

My point about all of this being, this website is such a melting pot of crazy. And every single poster here swears that it is everyone else that is the problem.

And the closer the season gets to starting, the worse it gets.

So what your really saying is, while we're eating the elephant, the fla. Steak ends while smokey humps UGA

Because people want to win this season. It's that simple. The same is happening on the Gator boards. Why? Because we don't have blind faith.

If Peyton Manning looks awful in practice, no one cares. We've got product knowledge and we aren't concerned.

If Marquez North drops a pass. No big deal. If Justin Worley overthrows a guy, it's a big deal.

It's the nature of the beast. Until you win and there is product knowledge to suggest not to sweat it, you're going to panic.

Why does everyone get so upset by meltdowns? I think they're quite entertaining myself.

Yes siree!

And it doesn't matter what you say, someone is always gong to dispute you...which is the reason for this board anyways. But most times it is more fun to just be a smart a$$!
