Why I Can't Afford to Vote Democrat

I don’t disagree with that. We have two sets of friends, who will both make phenomenal parents, are both solid middle class families who can’t have children of their own, and they’re looking at tens of thousands in adoption fees.

The issue I have is in having some bureaucrat determining someone’s fitness to be a parent and then some of the government interventions end up being more traumatizing than just having ****** parents.

“Throwing money at it” probably makes it worse because it creates some incentive for secondary gain that draws bad actors.

What would break the cycle but is absolutely unconstitutional would be forced IUDs until financial responsibility can be proven.

You don't have to force it. You could offer to pay $5000 to anyone who willingly gets some type of birth control implant.

That’s a one time fee. They can get that welfare check and more every year from H&R Block.

Plausible deniability
MKULTRA
Operation Mockingbird
JFK Assassination

You trust the intelligence agency(ies) that single-handedly implemented, practiced and carried out the items listed above? Our intelligence agencies are hellbent on manipulating the public with subversion, to serve THEIR desires.

Read a book, rube!

And when you do, be sure to find some that cover George Joannides, James Jesus Angleton, E. Howard Hunt and David Atlee Phillips. Since the OSS dissolved after WWII, nobility and the CIA have been as far apart as the democrats are from winning the presidency in November.
Yes, I’ll gladly take the word of the intelligence agencies over Vladimir Putin.

But if you actually think the CIA killed JFK, it does explain why you’re susceptible to Trumpism.

Look here, kid. I didn’t vote for Trump, so get off the canned, cacophonous, echo chamber BS. If you believe the CIA is noble and that Lee Harvey Oswald killed Jack Kennedy, your mental faculties deserve more criticism than I’m willing to dole out. Like I said, read a book—from the looks of it, you need volumes—then bring back your findings that don’t include some remark about Trumpism.

Until then.....

“Sometimes” doesn’t justify the government taking people’s kids away. Sorry.

I know what the justifications are that’s needed . I’ll still stick to my original post . Sometimes it’s exactly what is needed to break the cycle .

The assertion is that they're wasting their money on frivolous things and I said most are not. Even SCV understood
This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen you post. Drugs, alcohol, tobacco, vapes, energy drinks, tattoos, smartphones, unnecessary cars, jewelry, cable, eating out, . . . I have a large indigent patient population, as do a number of my colleagues in various parts of the country, and we see it EVERY SINGLE DAY. And, when I try to suggest purchasing healthy food, getting outside to exercise, stopping smoking, etc, they look at me like I'm insane.

Sometimes it’s exactly what’s needed .

I hope you at least have an anecdote. If so, I’m glad it worked out for them. But I pity the apathy and arrogance of such a mulish defense of this as a viable method of social engineering.

I have a daughter that works for child protective services .. does that qualify for my anecdotal? If you noticed ( I’m sure you had to have ) I always said... “ sometimes “ .

It certainly qualifies as baked in to the broken status quo that was being discussed.

So are you saying the government should expand CPS’s role from child protection to social engineering, or not?

Where did I ever say anything about expanded government roles ? I’m sure you already know ( it sounds like ) that CPS is social engineering . We can squabble over semantics of if you want , but that fact won’t change . All of my post said the same thing , “ sometimes “ it’s the best way to break a cycle .

What was the conversation about? The one that you waded into.

... Of course I agree to that , otherwise we wouldn’t be having a discussion on breaking the cycles .
Ok so I agree with your initial statement at face value, and I understand now that is all you were saying. It’s a valid policy in instances of abuse or gross neglect where it serves to protect a child from immediate harm and there are probably kids who are removed under those circumstances who manage to “break the cycle.”

I think @hog88 was trying to pragmatize the ideal that it would be best if kids simply weren’t born into ****** homes in the first place. I wholeheartedly agree with that as an ideal. I just don’t we can put the toothpaste back in the tube by using termination of parental rights as a means of addressing those cycles on a large scale*.

I can rationalize that belief, but it got long-winded.

That’s the conversation I thought we were having. Sorry for calling you arrogant and apathetic. I was taking your comment in the context of a proposal for changing the status quo.

Not a problem , i understand completely. I just couldn’t / can’t , and won’t give out any details to anything our daughter shares with us , that’s probably why it seemed like I was being vague . That’s also why I was just saying “ sometimes “ it is a really good thing .
