Why I hate (some) UK fans

If you don't feel like reading the link, UPS made a commercial featuring the 1992 regional finals game UK/Duke. Somehow (and I'm still not sure how) a group of UK fans got their panties in a wad thinking UPS made the commercial to insult UK.

This is just a vocal minority of UK fans but it makes us all look bad and I hate it...nothing worse than looking stupid and whiny - it's embarrassing.

UK fans just want something to complain about, in 1996 when the team was destroying everyone all anyone around town would talk about was how ugly the uniforms were...it blows my mind

and I love my people but seriously?? Can't you just watch the games and enjoy your time off without writing an email that makes everyone look bad?? I love UK sports and I love the fan base is passionate and the blue mist and everything else but stuff like this kills me...just be happy and quit looking for a conspiracy in everything. You know why the shot is replayed on CBS every march?? because it was a great basketball play...that was 20 years ago, if you can't get over a loss in 20 years, you need to find things in your life that can offer some significance outside of UK sports...

it's funny you guys brought this up. i work for a global public relations agency and UPS is one of our clients. I have been working on this "crisis" since Wednesday. I've been at the office since 9:00am this morning on a Saturday working on it and until 9:30 last night. Thanks UK..ha.

My question to you is, why run such a dumb commercial? It says "everyone remembers the shot but what about the pass." But doesn't everyone know it was Grant Hill that made the pass. I shake my head every time I see the commercial because it implies that we don't know a basic fact about one of the greatest plays in college basketball history from one of the greatest players to ever play.
