Why I won't be devastated if he leaves

Does Jaden Rashada even have a team now. 24/7 is showing him entering the transfer portal from Georgia early in the year and it still has him not going anywhere.

I think he’s still in the portal. Last I heard, not many big programs are showing interest and he’s down to the Tulane’s and UConn’s of the world.

Meh….. this out of control NIL and transfer portal is a plague upon college football.
Tradition means nothing now. It’s all about money and the players are nothing more than greedy mercenaries and whores.

Meh…it’s just free agency. Make em pay taxes on it. It’s a thing.

I wouldn’t be devastated by any means but the Vols did go 6-2 in the SEC with him at QB last year. How much is a starting QB with 3 years in the program worth at a school like Tennessee? The same fans saying good riddance would be ecstatic if we paid Tristen Keys four million and he’s never played a down of college football. Make it make sense. Speaking of which, how does our fans petulance look to recruits? I’m not at all happy with the situation and wish it never happened but it did.

9th best in his league - no memorable leadership moments, no games he carried the team

He is an OK player, top QB tier though? obviously not

No coach wants to deal with that. I'm seeing Nico's group in much the same light. Does anyone who's played the game see Rashada or Nico as "leaders" or the "face" of a football program? What weight do their words carry when they've always got a foot out the door and eyes for another bank roll. Don't know if Nico is involved, happy or just plain frustrated. At this point, it doesn't really matter. I see the bridge as being burned. It's time to cut ties with the whole clan and refocus on the QBs we have and this roster for next season. If other kids decide to portal along with Nico, I wish 'em well. I actually think it will tell us who really wants to be here. The sooner we get rid of those players the better. If their focus is on money, I don't want 'em. Not saying that we shouldn't pay a fair wage, but if that's their primary concern, pass. Vitello and Barnes seem to have figured things out. Hope Heupel can, too. Should have known this was in the cards when we had multiple flights to carry his "team" back and forth. We wanted to believe it was a "culture" thing and "family" was that important. How stupid were we.

I seen Nico at the Waffle House this morning on Broadway. He had his usual, smoked a few cigs and left. He had his game face on.

Nico he'sa gone......mediocre performance at a prima Donna price. Good luck. If he wasn't dubbed the second coming he wouldn't have had a following clearly not a 4 million dollar following. That aside does he even look like coveted developing nfl material? I think not , get your money while you can

And getting less so by the year.

Afraid we are getting closer and closer to the total demise of college athletics. I quit watching pro ball a long time ago - afraid my Saturdays are going to look different VERY

Exactly why I dont give a penny to athletics anymore. Give my little piddling to the Haslam College of Business which is fast coming an elite Institution.
