That’s exactly what it is. The apparatus behind the Biden admin has been in charge from day one. Biden was only the policy messenger, not the architect of it.

I think this is the case, they don’t want her to be able to show her stuff, because her ‘stuff’ is a joke and she is even more liberal than AOC and makes Pelosi seem reasonable... they just want the campaign to be about race and gender and carefully crafted speeches that a team of people write…and push it through in November.. then ‘surprise! She’s cuckoo for cocoa puffs’!

3 months might be too much time to hide her as the nominee, too.

She'll likely get another polling bump after the convention, but that leaves over 2 full months until Election Day.

The MSM will fill in that gap with 2 months of her being the greatest candidate in the past 50 years. I imagine she'll be asked to do nothing more than prepared speeches. Any questions she may be asked will be beachballs.

Hidden might not be the right term. She'll be paraded for 3 months by the Democrats and the MSM. Together they will minimize any potential negative situations and interviews.
