Did anyone really expect us to be undefeated right now? Was anyone "really" surprised to see Oregon do to us what they have done to every other single team they've played this year? Was anyone "really" surprised to see the best defense in the SEC in Florida completely shut our offense made up of inexperienced receivers, sub par running backs, and horrible QB play down? Does everyone believe that yesterday was a meltdown? Tiny couldn't have been mad at a USA player? Is there no way we could've just been a young team, dominating another team 31-7, and we happened to take the foot off the gas looking ahead to Georgia? Let's all quit over analyzing every little situation. We as fans have a losers mentality. You know that here we go again mentality that bad teams seem to have. Our fan base now has this mentality. Now, can everyone please just shut up, take your lumps without calling for the coaches head or a complete melt down of the team, and enjoy 6-6 this year because we know it's coming. We'll be back. GO VOLS!!

Telling people on a message board to shutup is laughable at best.

Oregon and Florida was expected.

Almost having our ass handed to us by USA in front of the home crowd is unacceptable by any standard. jmo

We won. Guess Georgia getting ran by North Texas or South Carolina almost losing to Central Florida should result in a total locker room melt down at those places? Those things happen every single week in college football. It's not acceptable, but we shouldn't call out coaches, assume a locker room melt down, or start this "we're not gonna win another game this year" crap. We all know that we're not very good. Let's not freak out when our team looks like hot garbage on a field from time to time. It is what it is right now.

We won the game, in what way did we "almost have our asses handed to us"?

Do you ever watch any other college football games?

Because if you do, then you should know that virtually every top team has multiple "unacceptable" games each year that they still win and are ultimately meaningless.

Dude, I'm not trying to get in a pissing contest here. I respect your opinion and understand the thought behind it.

However, logging onto a message board and complaining about OPINIONS is like going to a pool and complaining cause you got wet.

That's just my thoughts on the matter.

Here is my concern. Yesterday should have been a display of how our coaching staff can make adjustments in the face of adversity. Seven points against USA is Big East Ball and not what will work in the SEC. Who would take comfort with the game planning, adjustments and performance of the team yesterday going into the "Murderers Row" portion of our schedule? We don't have overwhelming talent, but we have much more than USA and that game should not have been close. We got out coached in the second half. We have seen that over the past 3 years under Dooley.

Well, society as a whole is full of people who are followers, or people who form their opinions based off of what they read or who they listen to. When you have a loud minority of our fan base essentially calling our coaches Dooley 2.0, and nit picking every single aspect of our team, it spreads like a negative disease throughout the fan base. I'm just hopelessly asking people to use a little logic, even though I know that's unattainable.

Georgia doesn't stand a chance against the rest of the SEC either because they almost got beat by North Texas. Oh wait, they just beat LSU yesterday minus their best player. It's one game where our players took their foot off the gas. It happens every week, to every program. Don't freak out. We won.

There is some who seemed embarassed from yesterday and I dont get that as this team will have to play above there level to win six. We have been in a recession for 5 years now and there is no reason to act like being played close by a USA team is not acceptable. I think S Bama was ranked 90 something and we are ranked 50 something so that game was not a given.

Because we are supposed to be the crap out of every terrible team we come across just like in 1998! O wait, we only beat Auburn by 8 that year and their record was 3-8.

The Defense was on the field a lot, but showed up when they had to.....The offense got some points ahead and then went to bed, led by a useless QB, and a loafing "PIG"and never showed back up until Tiny showed his a** after the game was over. If a freshman looses a game at least he's learning......Worley just doesn't show any guts, desire, and improvement.

What MENTALITY???? These loser fans don't have the mental capacity to understand where the program is. They beat their chest and blather things like "no excuses", "fire the coach", "it's all Worley's fault", yadda yadda yadda.

This team is exactly where we thought they would be at this point of the season, 3 and 2. It will be a huge bonus if they can luck out a win in one of the next 3 games. It will be a pleasant surprise if they hold 2 out of 3 close. It is an almost a certainty we will be 3 and 5 at the end of this stretch. This is no excuse---it's reality.

It is almost a certainty, barring injuries, that the team will be much improved for the November run where we need to win 3 of 4 games to get to a bowl. I would expect both Worley and the young receivers will go through the fire and be much better. If a freshman QB is ready, put him in. If we can get to a bowl this year, I will be happy. The cavalry is coming next year to get some speed on defense and we will be on our way to the top.

Georgia won by more than a touchdown. It was close and then they put it out of reach. North Texas didn't lose to a team the caliber of Southern Utah. I think North Texas is better team than USA.

Threw you a like on that one.

I can agree with every sentence. FTR, I don't think my post history will include me into the vocal minority.

Yes, ugly wins are still wins and they happen to every team.
