Why is Houston Ranked 17th???

And? Categories like that are based on stats. Houston has the best stats in that category. How do you propose they rank that?

I don't have a problem with them being the Number 1 Passing teams as far as stats go... I do however have a problem with them being ranked because of their STATS... My point was that Schedule strength needs to be more of a factor in the rankings of these teams.. I mean TN could run the table in that schedule.. but does that make us any better than we really are right now?? NO! We would still get beat by BAMA or LSU...

I agree with you on strength of schedule needing to weigh heavier on the ranking, but in this current system Houston is doing exactly what they need to do to get that ranking. There are plenty of other teams in that conference that play the same schedule and can't pull off an undefeated record.

Yeah I can agree with that somewhat.. I mean it's not their fault.. they are just trying to win like anyone else.. As long as they don't start crying out for a NC game then I'm ok with it for now.. I feel sorry for them though if they have to play and SEC team in a bowl game... Gonna be a whole new world for them..

I'd rather be unranked and struggling in the SEC than undefeated with some of those schedules. Talk about snooze-fest.

Living in Houston, these boys love Case Keenum and consider him the second coming. I don't deny he's got an arm and plays good, smart football, but their SoS leaves a LOT to be desired. No telling how good they are. The question is, if we end up playing them in the Liberty Bowl, do you guys think we win?

houston would win

I could see Keenum torching our secondary a couple of times. He wouldn't totally collapse against a non CUSA defense.

That would be fun as hell. Would be one of the highest scoring games in UT history.
