Why is it called the Tea Party?

I respectively disagree. I look at someone like Ron Paul as more of a champion of the Tea Party, and he is not a Romney or Perry.

As I understand it, the Tea Party movement started on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party when Ron Paul had a record money bomb. The Tea Party grew too fast and got commandeered by main stream Republicans. One of the great things about the Tea Party was that it had no head or organizational structure, but that made it susceptible to the interception of the movement.

Duh people, the Tea Party is a complete fabrication of the Koch Brothers. They duped people into believing this stuff but it's really so they can poison the water in Wisconsin and continue to eat live babies.

I think it's highly instructive of how little history we know. If they have taken their name from the Boston Tea Party the irony is absolutely delicious for those of us in the know. I mean, I'm snickering thinking about it.

If it is "Taxed Enough Already" that's just plain lame. That is just whining.

so you're saying that you know someone who claims to know something? Do they claim to know you or to agree with you - ever, on anything? If so, I'm snickering too.

If only it hadn't been intercepted...
