Why is it that the UT-SDSU game is everyone's "Upset Alert"?

RPI is garbage and UNM is massively overrated. Our RPI is high as is our ranking. Both are trash.

The reason you guys can win is because we aren't that good where we need to be in the tourney. It's not because of your overblown opinion of your team. To listen to you, SDS has a NBA frontcourt.

Why is it overblown to ask you to consider that maybe we are a good team? I didnt state anything over the top here. Just said that maybe they are predicting SDSU is because they think we are better than TENN. I dont think thats a real radical statement.

it's funny that all but one of you think its a bias against tenn or that its because your up and down this year, etc.

Did any of you ever consider that maybe their saying it because sdsu is actually a very good team and were underseeded just as you are. That some out there, that have watched both teams actually think we are the stronger team we are rightfully an 8 seed as you should be a 5 seed. This is a very even matchup.

I can give you all credit that you have a dangerous, capable team. Why is it so hard for you all to consider the same for your opponent, who just won their conf tourney, beating the #8 team in the country and beating unlv on their home court? We are the #18 rpi, thats not a fluke or a mistake.

Your best win came against a wishy-washy New Mexico team, dont get too far ahead of yourself.

You are a good team. Nobody here is debating that. Picking SDS is not radical. Our history and manic nature is the reason that you are a popular pick. We have limited PG play, much like you. We have a very big team and can't shoot. The teams are matched well, but we have more capability. We employ it poorly and there you go.

I understand the argument that we are inconsistent but on the other hand 6 of or 8 losses were to tourney teams; 5 of those were to teams seeded higher than us and 6 were on the road (two of which were neutral court).

We have wins over KU and UK and our only bad losses are USC (road) and UGA (road).

Yes I've seen them play to the level of the opponent but we almost always win - the result of the game is not inconsistent; it's rather consistent actually.

But our wins, aside from the two big upsets, are weak. Frankly, we should house Vandy at TBA.

Wow big deal. They are the two best wins any team has this year.

Besides that, take every teams two best wins away and see what happens. Vandy, for example...

Rationalize all you like, we are a 6 seed. It isn't because we were more impressive than those seeded higher. Those two wins got us there. Otherwise, our conference and our schedule warranted about a 10.

I missed your excuse for losing to Vandy twice. Could you replay?

Why didn't you try making a rational point to defend your argument. Why don't you take Vandys two best wins away? Try Notre Dame.

I'm not arguing that taking away wins makes sense. I'm arguing that what are viewed aa flukish wins don't help. Our body of work, with such a wide disparity between big wins and ugly losses is tough to evaluate.

I can't think of any other team that displays quitting as a style of play in losses the way we do. We absolutely throw in the towel. Cram that in your logic machine and tell me about body of work.

Maybe you missed the previous as well. I know you're dying to support your master, but the broad sentiment is that our style if play is a tourney disaster. Deal.

We're a maddeningly inconsistent offensive team with very limited range who can get sloppy and lackadaisical at times. We're more talented than other similarly seeded teams, but who is more likely to have a bad game and get upset? Probably us.

How about I play Devil's Ad. Or Devil's Devil's Ad. Whatever. We were without Brian Williams in both of the Vandy losses, and they actually had the size to take advantage of it.

Come on. We quit on them twice. Williams absence mattered, but quitting is inexcusable.

Because the committee let the UK finale, our quitting fits and our coach's tourney track record overshadow a better resume than folks they placed ahead of us.

Then we do agree! First time for everything.

Maybe this is a sign of things to come? Watch out Georgetown and OSU.

Well, we definitely quit the second time. Not sure about the first time. I think they just went on a timely run. But I do agree, it is inexcusable.

If the Kentucky game wasn't a blowout, then everyone might not be saying that.

Just because you get blown out in the last 8 minutes on the road against the arguably the best team in the country on the third straight day of playing doesn't mean we're not playing our best right now. After all, we have won 5 of our last 6.
