Why is ND still relevant

The media makes you hate them and the constant sloppin' that goes on makes you hate 'em. I'd still love to see a game in South Bend but I'd prefer a ND beatdown if I happen to head north for that trip.

I have never hated ND. I've always enjoyed playing them. Some of the best traditions in College football. Best band in College Football.

Ive never hated ND until Charlie rolled into town. And Kelly has actually made it worse. But that doesnt change my next comment: The ND Band is very good, but they are certainly not the Best.

In No Order:
O$U
Texas
U$C
Michigan St

ND falls right in line with a ton of VERY GOOD College Bands:
UF
MiHammy (used to be, not sure now)
michigan
Purdue/Purdont
Oklahoma
Okie St
Georgia
Rice (joking)

Have actually never heard UT's band in person (no idea how that has happened) Will change that this year.

The best band is FAMU!
Posted via VolNation Mobile

Depends on the style of band you want to see.

Few bands are as good at what they do as FAMU. :good!:

FAMU is not going to spin a rhombus while playing an old Journey Tune, but MSU is not going to have sex with the 40 yard line while playing Land of 1000 dances.

Im a big fan of both styles. Do what you do, and do it well. (I also like to see what Rice, Stanford and Cal have to put out there each week. . . Entertainment)

FYI: Mich St Drumline links will follow, if we dont change the subject soon! :):hi:

I can't imagine NBC had any notions of how bad ND would become when they signed up for this TV deal. Ouch.

Breaking Down the Slow Death of Notre Dame Football

and here's a thought: as everyone know their contract is up in 2015. if they dont produce strong winning seasons and get into good bowls would NBC ever pick up Texas and drop ND?

Texas already has a network. Notre Dame will continue to win 7 games a year in a schedule where they should win 10 and the media and Lou Holtz will continue to act like their past success translates to being relevant now.

No, because Texas does not have nearly as many fans in New York. Pay attention to how NBC operates, it's as if the New York market is at the center of every decision they make.

ND will stay with NBC, though they will probably get a much smaller deal if they don't improve by 2015, and will wind up on NBC Sports (Versus) instead of network tv.
