and the women's game is? Gameday usually puts its game on ESPN primetime, so why is the men's game at 12 and the women's at 8? Kinda insulting to the men's program IMO, IMHO, FWIW.

just think hard and realize why. it doesn't have anything to do with the nfl.

I agree. The women deserve to play opposite the NFL playoffs, when the only people watching them will be lesbians and geriatrics.

How is that any different than a normal game?
Lots of bars use ESPN as the default setting on their TVs. It might take them a little while to see women's basketball and change the channel if the NFL playoffs weren't on at that time.

I was at a bar last night that had a lot of their televisions tuned to ESPNU for a stunning matchup between the LA Tech Lady Cajuns and the Fresno State Lady Bulldogs. That lasted about 2 minutes.

sorry, I'm sure their will be a lot of non-sec basketball fans watching a 10-6 team go at their rival. not good game for opening College Gameday, good day for Tennessee basketball though

The Lady Vols are on a hot streak and Vandy may well be their toughest game in the SEC along with UGA. For those real UT fans who don't want to watch NFL playoffs this prime time game should be a winner.:clapping:

It'll be 8:00 PM here in Kuwait when the game airs. It's always primetime somewhere in the world.

For the 10th time...the schedule and game times were set back during the summer. And you are crazy if the fact that the so-called primetime game was up against the NFL playoffs had nothing to do with when the men played. It had everything to do with it. The NFL playoffs are a ratings beast. They dwarf everything up against them. So the better time slot for today is actually the noon game.
